Only just spotted this mate!!! Excellent news though - I said it'd be something stupid that was causing it! So....... when does it get the remap ??

hmmm problem resurfaced again bloomin car , can now add n249 bypass to things i have done aswell now to try eliminating the problem also got a new dump valve coming this week . soooooooooo all thats left to check now is .
1 . get lambda sensors checked at garage
2. strip back coil pack wiring and repair or reinsulate
3 . fit new spark plugs even though i know mine are fine .
and then number 4 if none of the above works drive at speed into a brick wall . lol

arghhhhhhhhhhh . right here is my thoughts . the car drives fine when started from cold allowed to heat upto normal temperature 90 . i can then floor it in any gear for about 4-6 times ,which gets some real heat in the engine it is then that the problem starts . or drive it normal and when left to idle for any long period . now when it idles the missfire has definately got worse and is constant . if i had an air leak surely this would affect it from cold and at all times , which makes me think pre cat lambda is the problem ? what do you think people ?

id be changing the fuel filter first... if youve checked for split hoses and cant find anything, then get a pressure test done to find the air leak.

have you checked fuel lines etc etc.

did you autoscan on vagcom for faults or just log?

with you saying it pulls back from 4-6k... theres no timing pull there at all, according to the logs

id be getting a pressure test done, then change fuel filter... get a garage to get it up on ramps to check dp and cat for splits and lambda connection etc.

have you checked intercoolers and pipewrok to them... check the cooler themselves.

so to wrap up... either dodgy lambdas, split vac hose(major one somwhere) or dp and cat problem.
