Best things about S3 brace ,1.Its genuine VAG so probably won't be interpetted as a mod and is steathly.2.It is so much cheaper than others.Bolts are m10 stainless allen bolts/nyloc nuts, washers etc so they don't cause corrosion, don't forget to paint drilled holes though. :cheers: Andy

After drilling the holes are the bolts self tapping type or are their nuts underneath ?

Yup - when my car was in for service, the mechanic asked me "have you done anything to it other than the hoses??"

Hmmm... any-one want to look at my sig?? :bleh:

Told him "no" of course!! Oh, aero wipers weren't fitted at the time, but the Fabia one was...

Well another scratched S3 strut brace. {not third time lucky}

I am really getting fed up with this now. Next one due Tuesday.

I will probably end up spraying the damn thing
:censored:

Yes that may be the case, however LCR 225 owners wishing for a non blink stealth fitment it is the best option i feel.

:)

Nothing stealthy about any strut brace, whatever colour it is, not as if you can hide it once fitted! ;) If you mean you want an OE look, fair enough, your choice. Nowt wrong with a lighweight polished alloy brace though if you're not into OE.

Well I took the plunge, gritted my teeth and drilled the turrets for my AAT brace! Everything went fine, double-checked I was going to drill the right places! So holes drilled, offered up the brace, all is good, put the bolts through the brace and holes (after treating them), jacked up the car a bit for access ... I can't see sh*t! How the hell did you guys do up the bolts from underneath, I can't see the innermost bolts at all!

Should have got Jim to do that for you :hide:

Seriously, you can't see the holes at all ? Can't imagine why not, no ones mentioned this as being a problem when fitting them.

Good luck

:cheers:

In fact change that to bad luck so i can buy it from you and have it on mine instead :thumbup:

I can see the outer holes, from the top I can see daylight through the innermost holes too, but from underneath I can't reach them with sockets to tighten, I can't see the inner holes from underneath at all!

My car's in at Star on Monday for a service so I'll get the boys to bolt the brace in then, all the hard work's done!
