Its quite interesting seeing what people get out of their cars in terms of mileage and mpg.
I have a 60 mile round trip to work and back, and can either take a cross country or motorway route. If clear, I can do the motorway route and return 54-56 mpg, where I would stick it on cruise at 70 on the open bits. If there is traffic though, like there is EVERY morning, then it has dropped to 45 as my anger cuts in lol. Cross country depnds if I get stuck behind some idiot...but anything from 50-58. But generally, if it hits the magic 50 mark, I'm happy.
I do find though, that on the motorway that if I edge the cruise to 75mph the mpg drop to about 49-50 mpg and if I up it to 80mph, it drops the mpg to 44-45. Big difference in mpg...but its so annoying travelling at 70 because I find myself constantly having to change lanes!!!
