Ian, just to fill this thread till the 28th, lol, I'm planning on going to 1 meet in the UK this year. But still not sure on which one.

I keep thinking ED38 would be top choice, but that's more because I don't know too many others. Not looking for chavvy 'tuning' shite, but chilled out, people with the same type of car interest, and a few cold ones to prevent us getting de-hydrated

Bit of topic well not really but this question has always puzzled me

Why do some taxi's have black bonnets and boots?? or is it just a yorkshire thing?

its an area thing mate as the drivers cant go out of there town to go and get fairs from another towns taxi rank.not sure how i know that but i believe its for recognition purposes might be wrong. but a couple of towns near me have greeny coloured bonnets and boots. never see them in my town.
i wouldnt personally have a black bonnet but might look good i like to see these things on other peoples cars.

taxis have always been called black and white cabs because they stand out in a croud and were done like this so you knew what a taxi was. also black and white cabs are town center cars that only pick up on the side of the road usually. they hang around busy places like bus stops and train stations. normal cars are situated with agencies who give them the work. has nothing to do with specific places just defines them to town centres and free agents most of the time
