question regarding spraying the roof:
do I spray the roof rails in black as well, or leave them oem color and simply spray the entire roof except for the rails and top of doors?

good question. personally i would spray upto the rails but if you spray the rails then you are kinda hiding them and making it look more smooth
hmm...been trying to look on here what others have done.
I saw that the purple Leon which is now white, left the rails white, thus only sprayed the roof itself black.
However someone requested a photoshop of his roof earlier today, and that was done with the rails sprayed in black, thus only leaving the top of the doors in oem color.
Not really sure about this but need to know before next weekend.
I'm going to do the same to my Ovni Cupra due to the bonnet and roof having the famous Ovni fade. Couldn't be fussed with the hassle of trying to match the rest of the car.
