Stalled reversing power output issues

Ummm

Would leaving an interior light on in the car for two days cause me to have power steering issues?

I understand the pump runs of the battery. Reversing out at low revs wouldn't put enough power out to run the pump and cause it to potentially cut out.

Is this something that could have happened?

BTW it never stalled, not sure who changed it. The car carried on running, it was just unable to steer it left or right.

Not realy.

If you had enough power to start the car you should have enough power for the power steering pump.

Right close the thread so nobody else can argue otherwise and I can now feel ok about it.

Been firing off letters left right and centre arguing that it was unsafe to drive - which it was at that moment. Spotted the light on today, which answered for why it's not turning over at all and is dead.

Having read threads about TDi's having earthing issues on the alternators i thought it might have been that. Still didn't explain the the wheels locked straight on and wouldn't turn.
