Suspension change - replace any other OEM parts at same time?

Hey folks,


When changing over the suspension, is it sensible to change over OEM parts such as top mounts etc? I want to get all bits ordered in so I've got them ready.

If parts should be replaced, please give me a list of parts that you think I'll need. I may think about changing for aftermarket parts if there is a good reason to do so.

FYI - my car has only done 33k, so this may determine if the old parts are worn enough.

Most people order top mounts just incase.
Personally I would aswell!

im also changing my suspension and puting coilovers on. mines a cupra tdi 05 plate with 68k on the clock. iv been told about changing my top mounts but will the top mount bearings need changing too?

With 68k on the clock I'd change them yes.

There are no aftermarket bushes at present (same bush as the mk5 GTi) so all partd are going to be OEM.

What about shorter drop links? If fitting coilovers.
