tool to remove front seats needed

Hello what sort of tool do i need to remove front seats in my seat ibiza mk4 2003 3 door one as i just bought a new set and i dont really fancy going to the garage and pay them for such as easy job? what tool and what size? regards simon

T50 torx bit

The bolt is a M10 spline not a torx, use the wrong tool and it can round off as they are thread locked in.

Mine is a t50 torx. I took it out yesterday and had to buy the bit as I didn't have one

Unusual then as every SEAT, Skoda and VW I have had apart in recent years has used an M10.

As long as it fits well thats the key.

Spline is 12 points yeh?

Yeah, aka triple square.

Yeh it was definitely a torx then. Must have forgot to order screws that week lol

Mines a spline drive, just like many other VW's. The door hinge's are fitted with spline bolts.

what car is it off mate? my drivers bolster is propperly worn and cud do with a replacement cover for the whole back

My seats are fine theres just a hole in the fabric but the stealers want £150 for a new back cover!!

halfords have them but maybe a set, good quality though i have some.
