From memory, one end of the brace is slotted, so unless it's torqued tight, it's as much use as a chocolate fireguard. I ~think~ I did mine up to 80 lb/ft........
FT you need to collapse the riv nut and they take quite a bit of force to do that. My advise would be to start it collapsing a little off the car because it will just keep falling down as you try and tighten it on the car. You want to have to push it through the hole else the whole thing will just turn when you try and tighten.
