Unusual Rear Cupra R seats? Buckets?

I was really thinking of offering a deal for my LCR rear seats untill you said that, damm child seat!

I have the Recaros in the back and had no problem fitting a child seat.

FYI the instruction manual supplement states that the rear seat Recaro option means the car is only rated to carry 4 people - I would presume this is because the lack of rear head restraint would bring an increased risk of whiplash injury in an accident? Possibly the V5 certificate would need updating if the car has been modified to have the Recaro rear seats.

I Don’t think the lack of the third head rest will have anything to do with whether its rated as a four or five people, as the S3 seats have only two head rests but three seat belts, it’s what is say's on the V5 that matters, have the recaro rears got the third seat belt? If not this will make it only legal to carry four people, if it has the third belt it’s ok for five.

no it's not.
i have them and it clearly states 5, both in the registration documents and in the Certificate of Conformity.
you don't legally need a rear headrest to accommodate a passenger. you probably don't need front headrests either tbh
either way, there is a 3rd (lap) belt in the back regardless of the seats

the belt comes with the car, not the seats. it's bolted to the car

Well I purchased a set of seats from a Cupra R and they have the Recaro fronts but im finding it difficult to find out why I have these weird rears! They were deffinately from the same car...I just assume a rare option?

To be honest they dont fit in the back of the golf very well due to how high the side bolsters are...

Anyone have a set in there Leon or?

They are like bucket seats for the rear! Wouldnt be very comfortable to sit in the middle!
