yeah you will just be in limp mode, 5psi, not 6/7.

Hence why its feels sluggish.

YOu just need to try a new n75, i bet its sending dodgy signals, ive had the same when the boost controller was wired up wrong. :)

Oh more problems! You know what, i went to the garage on Tuesday to pay my bill for when they replaced my 'bottom hose'

One of the blokes wasnt there but the other said 'Hows it running?' and i said 'Yeah its fine', i suppose i shouldnt have said that

What makes these break though, is it wear and tear?

Is it ok to drive?

sounds like another hose to check!

have you checked the dv also. ok its a forge, so they dont tend to break. just make sure the top is done up tight as they can come undone.

as for N75, you could unplug it and see how it goes if there are not any others around you can borrow.
would most likely drive slower than usual with it unplugged. but if this clears the tickover etc id say thats a good pointer..

finally, dont forget the good old maf.
one of the things that points to a dodgy maf can be on start up. if the signals from the maf are not as expected the car can stall (revs go up and down) or hunt until the car adapts. (
My experience of a dodgy maf had the car stall, or almost stall then rev up and then almost stall then rev up then almost stall and so on...)
seems in this case the car was very bad on start up then has got better?

so id try unplugging the maf and N75, (one at a time) to eliminate these as this is easy to do.
then if this makes no difference start looking at your pipes.

My maf was knackered but my engine light wasn't on, only noticed it was knackered form low g/s readings when i did some logging.

Try the N75 valve first alex,

Dont let it get you down tho, it will be an easy fix and thankfully not much £

Chin up hun ;)

Im sure mine was reading 130g/s last time i had it logged? I may be wrong

So this could either be:-

1. Hose leaking air

2. Dump Valve Sticking

3. Dodgy N75

4. Dodgy MAF

Is that right? Any other things possible?

It started fine this morning, i think there was a tiny flicker in idle but bearing in mind when you turn it on after being off overnight it does vary a bit because of the choke...

injection cars dont have choke alex! ;) (carbs do! )

Well cars in limp mode so theoretically holding back to stop any damage being done.

Weather you want to take it or not is your own personal preference hun.

Just try to keep it off boost
