More the R’s but yes you can’t get parts and when something goes wrong it’s usually more economical to break.

Sad but true i guess.
Luckily for my car, the bank own it for the next 3 years so short of it being written off, its a keeper.
Saying that, other than the usual problems these cars have i cant think of anything else id want as a daily.

Are R's and FR's worth more as parts at the moment?
Modified Rs definitely are hence its what I repeatedly hunt for.

I used to buy Cupras, FRs & TDIs as well but unless they're heavily modified then it's not worth my time and effort.

I reckon so - most of the people who want one have probably got one already and are just trying to keep them on the road. A lot of the stuff I want for my car they either don't make anymore or are stupidly expensive to buy new.

This is another factor, I like to keep stocked up on decent parts for my own benefit as well so having complete cars to pull them saves me money in the long run.

I think you'd better hurry up. The rarer they get, the more expensive they get.
They must have hit bottom dollar by now.
Prices are on the up, I've really struggled to find many worth breaking the past year or so as they're simply too expensive and I've really noticed more and more £5k plus cars up for sale recently.

Of course I am

Sparkie - "What’s on that, that you wanted?"

I haven't exactly decided yet but felt like it was my duty to buy it seeing as it was fairly local.

I collected it yesterday afternoon and it's rather quick albeit in a particularly ASBO fashion.
It super aggressive with pops, bangs, grunts and whines...not really my thing tbh and definitely turned some heads on my way back.

Here's a few pics I've robbed from the sales ad, I'll take my own in due course.

Is that an XSport setup?

Yeah it's all xsport... well most . The front and rear bumpers and bonnet and boot are xsport. The rear arches and door pods are ABS motorsport. The front wings I found on gumtree. They could be xsport but theam seam build quality.
So I think they are the ones you can get off ebay. But they all line up as good as fibreglass stuff does lol

Solved two problems, may have solved a third (gotta take a gamble on it), then slammed head first into another problem which looks like it'll either be a pain in the ass or relatively straightforward (if unorthodox)

Damn this project is tough going at times 😩
