Top stuff about the registration.
Starting to feel a bit depressed, given my car is fighting me at every step. Picked up an 18mm socket from Halfords, but have to wait for the 18mm spanner as it's looking like a two day wait for one from Screwfix. Tried to loosen the rear beam bolts with an adjustable, but it's hard to get a good grip on everything down there.
Might get a breaker bar. I'm not going to let it beat me.

Thanks, everyone - it's been a tough week, with a four-day wait for a Covid test result (negative) and some family trouble, so I think when little things go wrong, or they're not as straightforward as you imagine they'll be, it probably has more of an effect than it would if those things weren't going on.
It doesn't help that the 'how to' guides for this are just like "undo the bolts and remove them".
I'm going to jack up the car higher so I can have a bit more room to work, and will get a breaker bar from Halfords so I can get a bit more leverage on the bolt. Once I get one side done, the other side will be a bit less stressful, and I can always put off the front bushes until later, as they're not in such a bad state. Saves some money on wheel alignment anyway...
ratchet handle is a perfect fit! I use the pump bar from my trolley Jack as a breaker barratchet handle is a perfect fit!
