There are some good offers going around at the moment and I think I can afford up to £200. I think the 1/2" Milwaukee is looking likely.

Lol, yes and no.
We (the missus,dog and i) are off to the coast tomorrow and were taking my car.
Usually if we have mutley with us we take her car. But i cant bare the thought of doing the 139+ mile journey in a Fiat 500 diesel so were taking mine.
Equally, i cant bare the thought of getting dog hair over my beautiful interior.
So off to get a set of front halfords specials to protect the fronts.
Will be buying a plain set with NO dragons.
Bought a Seat rear cover when i got the car.
Just belt n braces

I totally get what you're saying mate, ive recently stuck a decent set of Recaro front & rear seats in my R and I'm still concerned at how the hell I'm going to keep them clean with me getting in with my grotty work clobber on and a horrible sticky kid in the back?

Ive got a MAC tools seat cover on the drivers seat permanently. They are brilliant. And keeps the seat in mint nick.
As soon as my other half suggested a trip to the beach, my 1st thought was how to protect the car Haha.
My other half is thinking of getting an Abarth next year so god knows what will happen then.

Bacon and sausage sub, Mmmmm....Fitted new O-rings to the injectors and now sat on a couch while it's being valeted. Then off for a large bacon and sausage sub.

I do love the cars you see outside Halfords though - the one near me had a GTR outside it, which I guessed was the manager's, and you see a lot of Fiesta STs, souped up Focuses and the occasional Supra.
In other news, I just ordered a Milwaukee stubby M12 1/2" with a battery and charger. I've seen a review where they suggested the 3/8" version worked better, but others say they're more or less the same. If it can undo the bolts for the shock absorbers, I don't see it having any trouble anywhere else on the car. Maybe the driveshaft nut, but I'll give it a try...

That's really good news - I always go by what people here say, first and foremost, so to know someone who does much more work than I do on what's probably much more demanding, is a really good thing.
Half the reviews I read while trying to work out what to buy are from people putting down decking, and the other half are from people in the US who have no idea what 'rain' or 'road salt' are.

Evening all. What a hot day... well I spent it on the sofa watching BTCC.. then cleaned a few fish tanks... then washed the dailey
I got all in the race car mood from watching btcc , so went to the yard. From having to do modifications to the front panel I thought I would respray that. So gave it a sand down and scotchbrite . Cleaned it and gave it a 1 over with paint.
Didn't come out to bad... even a bit shiney too
So that's now drying . So tomorrow after work I should be able to rebuild the front end 9f the thing so there's less stuff laying about the workshop. As we know stuff either goes missing some how. Or gets broken
