Yeah have the boost gauge. Seems to be jittering when idle, boosts sometimes holds at 10psi then will hold at 15psi then other times shoots to 20psi. So from my research that means n75/vac lines/PCV.

Going to service the recirc valve replace the lines.

Was going to just put in a catch can for the pcv.

From what I can see these mods were done car was mapped for them

P0171 code on the basic obd scanner.

Just had it in the garage for the manifold gasket thought that was the issue but no better performance just less tractor like now

All the PCV hoses under the inlet manifold are the usual places for a leak. I'd start there.

If you take the battery and battery box out, it makes access way easier. Get a flashlight and inspect the pipes for leaks of loose hoses.

Yeah all hoses up too seem to be in tact. The hose off the rocker cover is a lil soft so replacing that.
So il have to check under this evening.

Also wondering...the car boosts a lil smoother with n75 unplugged... wondering if that would make any difference to have it unplugged for the emissions test?

Shouldn't have thought so. Pretty sure with it unplugged the lambda sensors are disabled and it's in open loop, but never tried it

New full set of boots. Road trip next week so replaced my ageing tyres that had really bad cracks around the edges.
The guy in front of me ordered two tyres £742 he got quoted.
I’d love to know what they’re going on cause I’m never having one whatever it is. :sleepy:

Do you have a boost gauge? you could probably tell if you have a boost/vac leak there first

People do weird stuff to the PCV system, you really cant go wrong with the standard setup. you might try getting a cheap PCV pipe kit for that.

lean can be a few things, you could even have poor fuel pressure. What codes do you have?
Apologies actually re read my message. Not got the lean code have the rich code.

Emissions are .59% co2 at 3000rpm. Need to get em down to .3. don't think that it's the cat but having it checked hopefully next week

Going through it lads... Have the dreaded lean code, boosting all kinds of jumpy, and need to get the emissions down for the NCT have changed the n75 no change, ordered a boost leak test kit, can't get a mechanic for over a month...
Was going to just reorder the pcv system and replace the parts but the cars modded and theres a n249 and pcv delete on it. Can't tell what I should be doing or looking for as all the videos and tutorials are for stock or different to what I have going on

Anyones guidance or encouragement is welcome
Okay update for anyone with similar jumpy boost issue.
Backstory; bought the car heavily modified- boost was jumpy then p1072 rich code popped up.

Checked all n75 piping all the boost pipes ect no obvious errors.

Research was suggesting PCV system, cars had a PCV delete just to atmosphere. Installed a catch can to atmosphere and fresh hoses and crankcase breather.

Car boosting as I think it should well above what it was and no jumping. No more rich code either.

It's still booked in with a tuning shop for next month so il still drop it in for a map check and health check just to be on the safe side considering it's nearly impossible to get a mechanic to look at the car round here.

The radio controlled ‘mini me’ is ready now too. Bit of fettling to get it running straighter.
My lad has challenged me to a race on the famous Mulsanne Straight at Le Mans on the Friday track walk against his Laguna.
I’ll try not let the side down! :ROFLMAO:
Best of luck to you both, may the best car win 😉
Let us know how the road trip goes, sooo lucky 👍

Ok it's been a busy time once again, replaced leaking coolant flange and had to get a new pipe as I had the 1 from factory. Then a absolute pig of a job was the rear abs sensor grrrrrr and then mot time which she passed with no issues at all, now it's a case of breaking in the new clutch and also fitted a cheap aliexpress head up display not advisable to those with wife's or gf's that moan 1 mph over lol.

Changed this fuel pipe again I did it years ago, odd that it cracks and others are ok.. it’s also not a part you have to buy the pump.. and that’s silly money so just buy some fuel line this is gates gear, this time I warmed the fuel pipe up once on so it won’t kink slightly

@Nam-uk same mate saved so much not just on car parts, but loads of stuff, it just goes to your cigarette lighter bud just need a usb adapter, I ran the wire down the side of the outside of airvent tunnel then fed it at the back of clovebox to the back of centre console, it was about 20 mins to fit. The unit is called G4 HUD.

Yep for example the power steering cap broke due to age or the plastic, cheapest I could find was 30 quid without postage on there 6.50 quid the drivers control unit was another as the drivers window button failed I cleaned it inside and worked for a while, new unit just over 5 quid if you go on eBay it’s 5 times that and all from the same place..
Had loads of daft gear off there, you can get a fuel cover replacement land yard for over a quid 🤣

When I turn car over now it says Chi-na 🤣
