Yes I bought it but for 150.
Excellent, glad someone got it on here.
I know they’re not cheap but it don’t half finish our cars off.
I have a mint one on mine and I’ve one brand new one in the loft ( just incase) or else I’d have bought that one myself.
Are you local, is it you that’s in Bolton?
I’m not far from Skem in Maghull.

Question for the knowledge ones on here.( I dont have a clue. I just make it uo as I got along.)
As I am not using the air con, or the power steering pump. I am looking for a way of getting rid of that ally lump on the side of the engine.
I still need an alternator tho. I have seen this from America

Looks a bit fancy and the idea of light weight too.
I was wondering what other ideas people have done and seen in the past.
I might just take a grinder to the ally lump and cut it down. But I not really looked at that possibility yet.

Thats not me but here are a few threads from back in the day that might give you a clue

https://www.seatcupra.net/forums/threads/looking-for-air-con-removal-guide.397789/ - not a great deal of help
https://www.seatcupra.net/forums/threads/aircon-removed.236619/#post-2612062 - so far best info on this process

But there may be more on the forum.

Oh c'mon, are you surprised I have an answer for this?

On the kit car setup I'm running PQ35 bracket with alternator and a non aircon belt. It looks a bit weird but works.

I also have a non aircon ALH alternator bracket that I've already cut down. This brings the alternator much lower (where the aircon pump sits type location). May be convinced to part with it as I'm thinking of another way I want to do it.

Yeah, these are all for diesels but should fit petrol blocks (in theory)

The aftermarket thingy from America has it nice.and low and on an adjustable arm . So its just crank and alternator.
What's the diesel brackets like .

Bit more time in the work shop after doing a few jobs about and cutting the grass.lol.
Doing updates on the build thread . Again I cant thank you lot enough for the encouragement and the help on doing this thing.
All thanks to you for showcasing our beloved MK1 Leon & turning it into something truly incredible👍

You know we are all hankering for a ride too 😉

And polished and waxed, ready for winter.
A tidy job all round, looks awesome.
Good job mate👍 😀
Mine is anything but. Since I got it back from the garage, it's just a nightmare I can't bare to face. No braking system once warm, the pads they replaced obviously don't fit, making slight contact on edge when applied & the cnt even accused me of leaving a 1 star review (which I didn't). I couldn't even mention details on here when my car was stuck there, because he is an arse. It also has new chips on the bonnet & generally left me with a pile of crap that worked impeccably before. Sigh. Will have to address it in new year, as thanks to their delay my MOT run out & it will need a £££'s overhaul in my trusted vag garage before it can ever go on the road again. 😞

Jeez. They deserve a one star review even if it wasn't you. Brakes are bread and butter.

The bonnet chips would do my head in as well. It can't be the first time if their setup is so poor that they brush past vehicles all day.

Yep, cowboys 'r' us, but I was the fool for not trusting my gut instinct at the beginning 🫣

Feel pretty guilty seeing everyone's well-kept cars, when mine is scuffed and cracked on both bumpers, dodgy paint job on the front bumper by me, different coloured panels, saggy door cards and clogged intake manifold that I still haven't cleaned. Kind of feel it deserves better really.
