This was a desperate attempt to fix the leak. I’ve removed it as it didn’t work. I managed to replace the hinge washer, which had a small hole, but that wasn’t the issue either. I’m running out of ideas. It’s been four days in typical English weather trying to track down where the leak is coming from, and I’m close to giving up. Tomorrow will be my last attempt. As much as I love my car, this is driving me crazy. I'm using tiger seal
I take it you looked under the Ariel ??

It is not aerial. When I pour water on closed boot hinge area it is coming in pretty quick
Ok, have you checked the rubber hoses for the wiring? And also the plastic housing by pressing inwards (towards the front of the car) as cracks may not be visible when opened
fold back seats down and take parcel shelf out get in car and get someone to pour water on outside even remove inner seal and check around there even the rear spoilerIt is not aerial. When I pour water on closed boot hinge area it is coming in pretty quick
