Car's driving nicely in this weather - must like the heat...

Vacuumed out the car after a tip run and the TCS button decided to make a run for it. The two plastic clips either side have snapped (you can see one of them in the photo below).

Part number is 1M0927133 but can't find anything new online. Has anyone got a spare or a fix? I'm looking at you, Thai-wronghorse

They're extremely fragile things and very commonly damaged whilst vacuuming.

I know I have a few ESP ones in stock but im not so sure about TCS as I generally only buy Cupra Rs which are supposed to have ESP switches...both work they same though, it's just the text that differs.

just looked at that to see if i can just get a ESP switch .. got this off Ai, The SEAT Leon Mk1 (and similar MQ32 VAG platforms) TCS and ESP switches are not directly interchangeable without wiring modifications. The TCS switch simply cuts power to the wheels when accelerating, whereas the ESP switch disables a more complex stability system that monitors braking, lateral acceleration, and steering

the esp/tcs button is a momentary button when you press it all it does is completes the circuit its not like a toggle switch where you press it and it stays in an on position until you press it again it only sends the completed circuit signal, the actual esp or tcs system controls the on and off function, so if both buttons are the same momentary function then as Thai says they will work just the same.

The AI has misinterpreted what you ment it clearly thinks you want to switch a different system than what the car has, but all you want to do is change the button itself the system your car have will remain the same.

Makes sense, as mine is a diesel FR.

If I could, I'd turn it off permanently, because if there's any kind of wheelspin, it cuts power to the wheels. I hate it, because if I'm spinning the wheels it's either on purpose or I'll just dip the clutch to control it, so I don't need some computer deciding what's best and only getting it wrong.

If I could turn it off and not get any lights that'll fail an MoT or something, I'd just glue the switch in and forget about it - it's the least-used button in the car after the alarm button next to the driver's seat...

Even when it’s off you still have a level of traction control say when it’s icey. .. what I’ve read it also drops the BHP down

It’s not the first time Ai got it wrong .. still worth looking into with esp switch’s available
