Aye the 2.5 engine looks good. Only snag is I need a 5 door car for the company car policy, and i havent seen that engine in a suitable size/shaped car yet.

how do people get that pull off with such power going to the front wheels. My k1 is 320 bhp and with "ESP" on it will pull off and limit me to a gradual increase from 4500 rpm. with Esp off I can get a full rev start, I will spin all da way up to 3rd gear. PLEASE HELP.

Learn that the throttle is not an on/off switch ;)

100bhp gain from a Stage 1 map on a SC'd engine! You sure mate????
Makes the Ed30/Cupra gains look pathetic... lol

I think its just a map, think its a piggyback ecu though.

TT-RS has been mapped to 420hp stage 1

easily get 12's next time eh AL, i predict a 12.8 next time

We will see :)

Next time will hopefully feature no a/c core, WMI, light wheels, light brakes, lighter battery and hopefully proper sticky tyres :cheeky:

Then I will seriously need to get a grip and get the bike going for the first time this year for real speed

What tyres you going for next Al?

888's I think Rob. Just need to see if I can get them at a decent price. Will be going for a softer compound too. You still defo coming north next month?

I think it maybe becuase of the amount of chassis mods you got that you havnt noticed much difference in staright line grip tbh because i could tell straight away the improved grip however i had crappy effiecent grips on before.

Ben ctr iirc did say your 60ft time were pretty good and r888s wouldnt make that much difference although dont quote me on that, well unless you went medium soft compound or similar ;)

Hopefully if my clutch is able to stand up to the torture and im not under the influence as its my birthday that weekend!

60 foot times were all slower than with the Vredsteins believe it or not Rob. Owen has 2 pairs of slicks that will fit on my wheels I think. I may look to borrow a pair for 20th June to do a proper job if he is up for that.

Im guessing you did a burnout and got them red hot before you launched been the 1/4 mile veteran?

888's make a HUGE difference, just done a track day at Castle Combe and where the traction control was kicking in last time out on michelins (sometimes at 100 mph+) this time it only happened out of the slowest corner (Quarry in 3rd) On the (dry) road it kills the wheelspin in 2nd and 3rd gear totally, on damp roads no wheelspin in 3rd, defo worth the expense, actually one of the cheapest and effective mods you can make! The new R1R's should be nearly as grippy but better in standing water although I've had no probs in the 1000 or so miles I've put on them, wear is ok too. Got the michelins back on now and notice the lack of traction straight away! Also realise now how noisy the 888's are, sounds like wheel bearings are shot, kind of miss it now..............
