Which mk4 - petrol or diesel?

Awrite ppl, just new to the site, just bought the 1.8 20vt, how did u's manage to get such cheap insurance, mines about 700 with 4yrs no claims lol, still total joy to drive, big smile on yer face when u put the foot down!!! Need to try figure how to use this site right enough, plus can anyone tell me how to set the Automatic frequency for the Radio, certain places its doesnt pick up the channel but cant figure out how set it!!! Any help would be grand cheers

To tune manually, you need to turn off the RDS, then use the left right arrows to tune. Presuming you have the same Alana radio as me.

Cheers bud, yup i have the same alana one a think, is there no way to set it so if it starts to lose the signal it automatically sets itself again or is that me just being lazy haha,

Ok there is, do you not have the manual

Holding down the TP button until you hear a sound will enable the alternative frequency selection which automatically switches to the strongest signal for your selected station.

A single press of the TP button turns the traffic mode on and off, which automatically switches your station to traffic alerts.

Haha knew that was comin, aye i have the manual but got a short fuse when it comes to things like that and a didnt seem to be gettin anywhere, so here is defo the best place to come for answers!!! will give it a shot m8, think thats the only thing i havent tried, typical!!!

Alright people,

Any ideas how to set the clock on the MK4, i have looked through the manual and found the section on the clock but cant figure it out! Any help!!!!

the one that resets the the trip as this is the only one I have by my dials?

Make sure the ignition is on and the clock is showing in the display.

Then just twist the trip reset knob left or right for mins & hours
