I'm sure you won't mind me sticking up this link, not a MILF but a stunning Welsh lass to brighten up a gloomy clold day

Anyway back to car stuff.

Do you have any details for the Forge 3" TIP?
Is this a standard part or was it made to your spec/design?

It's good to have a plan and mine has always been to get the most out of a KO4 that I can.
A bit like you plan but different.
I truely believe that 300BHP is possible from an OEM KO4 and hope to prove it one day.

I'm sorely tempted to get a Forge actuator
Hey Willie, sorry for the late reply and i like your taste in women.;)
My 3 inch Tip is just a homebrew affair and essential for making good power. Its essentially a 2-3 inch reducer fitted to the turbo collar then a 3inch 90 bend, a 3 inch alu joiner with the various spouts and ports followed by a further 3 inch bend then the maff and filter. This made a big difference to my set up.
300 bhp on stock turbo with the right mods no problem:funk:
The forge actuator is highly recommended but use with caution, massive torque spikes beware, mbc tames this though.

do you have any images of the tip at all. All this larger maff and custom tip sound interesting considering i need a tip before remap. Graph looks rather lurvery

A chap called Jaccob in USA did my hybrid but he has since gone bust. TurboDynamics and CRT turbo's do a good hybrid overhere.

Thanks, been in touch with these two. Since yours is well on the money I was hoping I might be able to grab the same one. Shame he is no longer in business.

If your bored have a read of this one matey, there were no K04 hybrids around on here when this thread was started, all the info you'll need.

thanks for the kind comments on the graph, although its not all that high in peak figures the torque is sustained well through the rev range and pulls hard to the red line. I'm very pleased with how it performs. Stage 2 impressed me but the hybrid is the icing on the cake. I honestly don't know how the guys on here can cope with the 400 bhp monsters appearing as this is a handful.
i'll get some pics of my DIY Butchery up soon.;)

Yup my feelings too.
My LCR on OEM 210BP power on a stripped out car when she's running well feel ferocious on the back road, but perhaps it's just my driving.
I don't feel the need to have 400BHP in a well set up car.
But I'm not power hungry, handlings where all the fun is for me.

There's no way you can used all 400BHP is a FWD car without slicks, trick diffs, solid mounts and a cage. The chassis just cannot take all this power.
Now the MK2 LC, thats a different story;)

+1

hence I have always banged on about a k03/k04 mapped or hybrid variant is plenty enough for the road, but people all too often get wrapped up in the figures

What induction type setup do you use on your car Wild W? Just got my larger induction piping and cold feed port the other day to try and force/angle more air onto the filter (whether it makes a difference or not I dont know, as Bill commented the setup is near maxxing out for flow now)

I know you have some very high g/s figures hence I am interested in some pictures if you have any please

As above but also whats the relationship between your g/s and your BHP?
Seems like most LCR's are 1.25-1.3 x MAF ready = BHP.

Will be interesting to see if the de screening the MAF is false economy or really a worth while mod

I have descreened my MAF now

I made a gain of 9 g/s

200 g/s with screened MAF
209 g/s with descreened MAF

Now making 213 g/s with boost increased a little.

Technically if I take the lowest calculation of 1.25 x 213g/s then the car should be making around 265bhp. I made 243bhp on DD rollers at a local RR near me (www.surreyrollingroad.co.uk)

hoping for some more once I sort out this ducting....

Wild W's g/s are very impressive

Work in progress, well it would be rude not too.

When i get a chance i'll log with three different maff housings so we can compare g/sec measurements.
Standard maff housing.
Descreened standard maff housing.
Oversized maff housing.

What is the oversized MAF housing? as in bigger than 3" and where did you get this from?
