I'm still making my mind up on which shade of white, had thought about door bars but don't think the big ass scaffold tube will clear as the seat's touch the door cards and i don't really want to loose the door cards.

Dash bar was an idea when we first fitted the cage but we gave up with it, i'd like to build it all out of proper tube one day but that's a long way off

Updated pics of the cage refurb

Big thanks go to Martin for doing the painting for me, i'm more than impressed with it considering it's such a pain to paint in the car

Just got to sort out some new padding for it and it's onto the next lot of mods for 2009

Thanks for the comments

I was changing wishbones on Martin's car and looking into a few other bits as payment for painting the cage ;)

Hopefully they'll be big updates coming on both cars throughout 2009 :D

Tidy cage, what makes that?

Also what bolt kit you use after peloquins ones sheared?

It's was custom made by a mate of mine, as for the diff the guy that fitted it rebuilt the box with uprated bolts he uses in all his track cars (touch wood been no probs since)

Love the way you've got the dash fitted around the cage.. Never really noticed it before - top work :)

That's part of the reason i went custom with it, i didn't want the bars infront of the dash, i'd like door bars aswell but the mounting of them would be a pain with door cars still in and i'm not ready to strip it all out completely (yet)

that looks awsome ben real nice job there.i bet it was a pain to mask it all up,

The masking up was the worst bit, something else i don't have the patience for but stuck with it this time

amazing transplant! must go like stink!
love the paintwork, gleeming alot!

It does go well but i'll always be after more, paintwork looks better in the pics (there's quite a few swirls etc when you get up close to it)

yeah but the paint looks mint from here lol, and the white wheels really set off red mk2's!

and i love the fact the gti 16v grill is still on there, then you put your foot down...*BYE BYE* lol

Thanks

White wheels had to be done, plus i'd always wanted a set of comps so was rude not to

It was de-badged for ages but i decided to badge it back up again for a stealthy look, not that it works much with the cage in it
