Car has COME TO LIFE! :D - Story inside - Updated 9/3/2009
Tryed replacing all 4 coilpacks with new ones to rule it out - no difference
Tryed a brand genuine MAF, and a maf off my mates cupra - So thats not the problem
THE NEW SYMPTONS
it runs with the MAF connected... but it CANNOT go anywhere near the induction pipe or air, when it gets any air going past it, then engine dies instantly - even if u blow on the MAF its senses it and kills it
Yes VAGCOM is only bringing up: low MAF signal / fault still. But I don't think its running long enough with the problem for the VAGCOM to pick it up maybe? Could be the wiring to the MAF? hmmm going to have to get an auto electrician on it maybe?
.... I said to my mate the engine mounts seems to be getting bad, then turned out to be a bolt missing and that caused engine to move enough to pull off the intercooler boost hose - hence running problem.

Had exactly this when my front mount went on mine. Pulled out a boost hose. Wouldn't run but would with the maf unplugged. Plug it back together and off ya go!
My exhaust is knocking like hell now ive taken it off and back on again though so that needs doing... along with new suspension this week and steering wheel cupra love!
