yes, so different setup to mine, as I have the PCV valve on, so I am guessing will need to do something else to remove the PCV valve......:(

you can keep the pcv valve there, its a one way valve, and redirect thge fume hoses to the catch tank, OR remove the pcv completely and plumb the fume hoses, both work, and dont throw codes.

thanks Bill

when you say plumb the fume hoses, what do you mean exactly?

going on Nev's question, I presume if you are not running a pipe from the PCV valve to the catch can, one pipe goes from top of the block into the catch can (no T piece used this time) and a return pipe goes from the catch can to the bottom of the block

so now the PCV pipe has been taken out of the catch can equation, where does the pipe from the PCV valve go?

the catch can. the vacuum side would be blocked off at the manifold if you removed it.

free venting catch cans smell nasty

(unless you run motul 300V nice smelling oil :D )

so best leave it then if it is going to vent to the air.....as I dont have nice smelling oil:)

I will leave the PCV in and run the setup as demonstrated on this thread

well I went out to do the catch can today....getting there slowly. Made up the mounting brackets

however, I have the 19mm Forge flexi hosing to come off the rocker cover (this works fine)

I also have some some 16mm Forge flexi hosing which is also correct, to go onto the Catch can "15mm" fitting

however, when placing the 16mm hosing over the catch can fittings, the hosing is way too big!!

I have just measured the catch can fittings and they are only coming in at about 12/13mm and are way to small for the 16mm hosing

any ideas on this?

I am just about to email toyosports directly to see what they see....not impressed!

Jamie, did you get any pipe or tube with the catch tank? i did, and the 16mm fits over it a treat and then just do the jubilee clips up works a treat.. :D

yes I got some crappy awful looking tubing, but the end connectors are not 15mm....hence the 16mm Forge hosing is way too big

were your end connectors 15mm then?

not sure what they are but with the pipe that came with it on, and cut to the length of the connectors it makes it about right so the 16mm pipe fits over it a treat

well I found this, reducer from 19mm to 12mm, which will do the job

http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1368

now just ordering some 13mm hosing from merlin motorsport, 1mm difference will be fine and this is the only semi decent looking flexi hosing I can find of this size which will match the 19mm flexi hosing I have

About six months ago i fitted the oil catch tank and today i thought i would have a look.
:-o what is all that crud, if i had not got a catch tank this would be in the pipes and intercoolers and its only after six months. All i can say is look at the pic's and go and buy one.

-what oil do you use?
