Yep I will do that mate. The main one is on the passenger side at the wheel arch. Roughly painted just now as it did it over the winter to prevent it rusting.
The other bits are on the corners of the bootlid above the lights (inside) and theres abit of the petrol filler flap (very edge).
ah same here mate - caught on the bodywork (petrol cap)... just on the lip of the edge... aint bothering with it though - hardly noticeable... and I'm fussy too!
Gave the car a good wash today - showing up all the imperfections maybe, but also showing the polished bodywork. Hard work eventually paid off I guess (pretending to not sound that bothered about it all ). I think it came out pretty well considering, though there is some work to be done to the front and rear end.
The first owner - was an old man... he loved that game where you guess where bollards are in carparks, or where crash barriers are located, or where there's some silly walls scattered around where they shouldn't be... that kinda thing.

I haven't personally "injured" the car at all since getting it, so aany dent or imperfection is not down to me

If you want to make polishing easier get yourself an Autoglym Perfect Palm. Shaped like your and and dont mean you need to grip a cloth. Ive got 2, both a red and blue. Aint used them yet but Ive put my hand in one and I think it will be so much easier.

Honestly they are 5 quid each but will make it so much easier. They are washable aswell so you can re-use them. The red one is for SRP and the blue is a microfibre one used for like glass polish etc. It tells you on them what they are used for.

, used microfibre clothes quite a lot tbh. Just standard ones - probably exactly the same as the Autoglym ones... but they cost a pound instead! ... had a microfibre sponge too - found that really useful for the glasswork etc, absorbed as well as cleaned...

Looking very clean! A set of gti bumpers will cover the scrapes and dinks at the front and rear
think the old skool style bumpers gives it a uniqueness though Jenkster, most of us that have had the older pre face lifted ones have ended up putting later bumpers on..

Brummy - I'm affraid that I'll also be joining you lot in facelifting... just feel the need to do it, I like the pre-facelift but it's a mess, and I have a huge bollard dent in the lower rear section, so I'd prefer sticking on facelifter bumpers than repearing

and THAT'S What you get when you had an old man as the 1st owner of the car... lucky sodd tbh. He treated himself to this car 14 years ago, brand new, must've been pretty nice!... And he went around denting it and knocking into things... you should've seen it before it's re-spray! :O
Got any ideas as to why someone along the line of 3 previous owners, 1 of them have sliced the carpet under the passenger seat to gain access to something? Why would they do it, any ideas? Cross slice running from the door to the other seat runner the other side. + they've taking out the underlay / soundproofing padding. Driver's side is still original... strange
