Ordered a standard Candy White Cupra 09/10/09 I'm currently on build week 3 it keeps changing thought, with a bit of luck it might come forward a little more as last week i was on build week 10. Its not all bad news though because my dealers giving me back the payments on my car from when i ordered, so the longer i wait the more they owe me. That should give me a little extra cash for skirts, arm rest, Boc coloured wheels etc
I ordered my Boca with sport brakes, convenience pack, bi-xenons in October too. Was told week 4 build date and delivery in beginning March '10. I am fine with that as I want the '10 plate anyways so even if it arrives early I have told them to hold it until then and not register it until I telkl them to. hehehehehehehehehehehe Still sucks without a car though and I am wishing it was here but in the interests of the new plate I will meditate every day for calmness of the spirit..................
Not long now, got breathalysed the other night after having 2 pints thought i might be having to cancel my order, turned out i was way under the limit, I measured lucky number 13 with the limit being 35 phew!!! I've always drank 2 pints n drove but never been totally sure what the outcome would be, maybe i'll just stick to 1 from now on regardless of that result.
Well finally some good news, spoke to my dealer today and after finding out that the salesman i was dealing with has actually left (hence the lack of updates), my car is finally being built after 4 months of waiting, i cant beieve iv been so patient. This is going to be the worst part now, the knowing its oing to be on its way to me

Great news, what kind of time have they give you for delivery from when it had been built to actually arriving at the dealer. Mine's on for build week 3, its gonna be so close to the 2010 plate i dont know what to do wait or be patient hmmmmmmmm!! Still not seen a Cupra or a Boc round my area yet maybe mine will be the first
Dannydp hang on for new plate dude! Mine is week 4 which will arrive in March I have been told so yours should be bout the same time I would guess which means you may get those coveted 10 plates after all......................
Mines supposed to be being built some time in Jan also. When I asked my dealership if they could hold onto it so i'd be on a 10 plate they said they couldn't as it would be subject to the new VAT?? I'm sure if I sort the payments etc out before then there should be no problem??
Seams wierd, my dealership said that if it arrives before march they will store it till then, for the 10 plate as that is when i said i wanted it for when i ordered it.
Saying that i doubt it will be ready for march, need to ring in the next week or to to get a date

If your deal was approved at old VAT rate it should be price protected, irrespective of when you take delivery. I asked my dealer the same question and they have assured me it is protected so even if it arrives before March they will hold it for the 10 plate as finance was approved last year in October. You should fight this point with them if they try and push you to take delivery before the time. The only reason I can think they would push you to take immidiate delivery is because they want their money sooner and they get a kick back too if you are financing through them. When I asked told them I was using a loan from my bank to purchase they said no they wanted to use their financing as they get extra money out of it. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY FOR THEM MARDON. I have told them I will take delivery on the first Saturday of April to get a little extra deposit together and they are completely fine with that.
Ordered white cupra with bluetooth 16/12/09. Dealer said that it takes 10 weeks it to deliver. Other dealer told me that it takes at least 15 weeks. This other dealer tried to sell me 3000km driven FR Bocanegra, white also but I really want to get that cupra so I had to say no to his offer.
Don't know how long I can wait. I hope that if it takes more than 10 weeks the dealer will give me some discount or something..

I'm not getting winter tires so I hope that if car comes late I manage to get them for free.. or engine heater or something

Spoke with my dealer today I'm told 5 weeks from built to the dealership at the moment, usually takes 10 to 15 days. Seems like one thing after another waiting for this car. Guess I'll definitely be having it on a 2010 plate. Anyone else having similar problems?
I'm just trying to forget about my order TBH. Got bits to sort on my current car and with the bad weather i'm not too bothered.
Well after speaking to SEAT UK i now have a customer sevice bloke who is sorting everything out for me, he's making sure its delivered for mid Feb so i can have it on the 1st of march, He's been dead helpful, keeps me updated every week with everything and will be making sure the car is built exactly as i want.
I was told today its being built next week and will be in the uk by Feb so im not sure why youve been told 5 weeks.
