James theres no need to test the tip, block off the charge pipe to turbo hose and pressurise through the n75 feed into the valve. 10 psi is plenty and this way avoids pressurising the turbo.

but id lik to test the tip for leaks around the turbo also...
surely if pressured to less than the psi the turbo boosts then it will be fine??
we test through the tip as it the does the full engine, our machine doesnt even go up to 1 bar pressure iirc as turbo seals can and have been gone in the past.
warm up engine for the time it takes for it to start smoking,
Disconnect fuse 28 to starve the engine of fuel and it will die
remove all spark plugs
depress trottle when cranking to do test
if test results are down put a teaspoon of oil in each cylinder, if it rises it is the rings, if not it is the valves
It doesn't have to be smoking as you do it, just as long as it is fully warmed up to the stage at which it would start doing it?
So id have to go out and give it death to get it uber hot and go and do it..??
To be honest I would do something simple like a compression test myself, I have been too many garages with a good name only to have them be a bunch of fitters and not mechanics!!!
i would'nt put boost type pressure thru tip personally..
