.....

does that 3.0 turbo just bolt on or are you having to modify the manifolds, flanges etc??

no its not a straight bolt on (well it is now), the turbo itself is electrically actuated so firstly it had to be converted to vacum by adding an actuator and a stop screw. the manifold was the next part which this turbo does not come with, instead it bolts onto one, so i had to design one. the manifold is exactly the same as my current one so in CAD i made up a flange for the manifold to connect to the turbo and then another one for my downpipe, had them made and then welded the flange to the manifold and bolted them together. its hard work because of clearances but i had a jig to ensure the angle was exactly the same. might start making more if people want them. can have everything ready to be bolted straight on for around £1000, brand new!(roughly)

What are you including for that cost?
I kno you are working for a company now so there will be markup etc, but I could possibly put you in touch with some suppliers etc.
Plus I could show you an alternative manifold design, and could give you a look at my new inlet manifold

With the kit I'd supply the turbo, manifold, bolts and actuator all fitted together with a matching downpipe flange for everything to get bolted straight into the car and the flange welded on the downpipe.
This is not through the company I'm working with, purely myself.would b great to see the designs.
You got your car back?when u free to cone down for a chat, need some help with some pipework!

What sorta silly power are you expecting then? I'm looking at selling my PD FR for a Cupra PD. This is giving me a big push towards it!

Lol,I'm not gna say what power just yet but enough horses hopefully.get a cupra, such a strong engine, definitely best one to work with and mod!

Thats quite interesting. The manifold in the picture looks like a bigger version of the existing cast manifold? I'm a tad confused to what you said.

You thought about what your going to do with intake manifold? Passenger performance have a plenum one designed and ready to go so save you some work there.

:)

Lol,what I mean is its same design as the one I have.I sent my design to a friend who does CNC work and he got it made up for me along with the flanges.then all I did was weld the flange onto the manifold :)
Yea I've still to look at some inlets, how much do they sell them for?

I thought that's how your manifold looked. Mine is a completely different design with longer, equal length runners. This in turn moves the turbo and means there's a bit more required with pipework but nothing too major.

My inlet is going to be a modified 'swedish' type inlet for a fiesta turbo. It's not a cheap way of doing it but I'm not so keen to buy off the shelf stuff

Must be an update on this? How's the project going?

Sorry been really busy over the past month I've not been able to update this or even work on the car, however it is very close to completion, hopefully finish it on Monday/Tuesday
Wheels have been done, exhaust, anti roll bars, brakes, diff, and engine is built up,all I need to do now is drop the engine in,make my turbo/intercooler pipework, put my boost/oil temp/oil pressure gauges in and install water meth and I'm on the road!pictures will follow,I'll put them up tomorrow.

i seen it in person last month, looked awesome, but the engine needed rebuilt

Very few ppl have seen it in person, although incomplete consider yourself lucky ;p

If you're wanting any pics taken around Glasgow... give us a shout, would love to see this in person!

Will do,you do mean photography of the car?lol

its ok no rush for it, its just in case.
I ordered a paddle clutch and pressure plate this week so as soon as that comes ill fit both at once, still trying to decide where to get it mapped though. I wanted to get it done at badger 5 but he will need the car for a few days since he would need to get a derv expert in. but theres a few bad reviews of p torque with hybrids so not to sure on them either.

ill pm you my address now.

today i managed to get my engine into the car, i made a 3" OMI (turbo intake from air box) and just fitted. Got most of it built up so all that is left to do is install water meth and then put my bumpers and other crap like that on...oh and also my intercooler pipework.pics soon
