Full Custom 3" Turbo Intake arrived from Badger5 this morning

Very nicely engineered

IMG00328-20101202-2008.jpg

All the kit laid out

IMG00330-20101202-2012.jpg

And mocked up how it will be when fitted.

Currently have a Forge TIP which will probably be up for sale soon.

Not sure when I will be able to fit it as its so bloody cold at the moment! Will do before and after logs when I do though.

Hey Coops,

I liked the vid that you posted; your car seems to be running really well.

I've heard alot about Bill's 3" TIP but had never seen any pictures until now. It looks very well made, especially the metal peace that sits into the turbo. Will you be fitting this with a de-screened MAF? Benefits over the Forge version seems to be proven?

I look forward to hearing how you get on with this fitted. I think the cold snap might be here for a while yet.....:(

James :)

Thanks James! I wont be de-screening the MAF, too risky in my opinion. The TIP is very well made! The machined bits are pretty damm sexy :)

Not sure about the differences from the forge version, but should hopefully find out from my logs. The benefits should show even more when I get a 3" down pipe too.

Well well well more spending Adam ;)

TIP looks good though and decent quality from those pics. Will be very interested in the logs on this over the Forge TIP as that's what I'm running myself.

IMG-20101230-00122.jpg

Fitted the shim onto the turbo with sealant and locktite on the grub screws

IMG-20101230-00123.jpg

Started plumbing everything in

IMG-20101230-00124.jpg

All nice and tight, had to take about an inch of the top 45deg silicone bend

IMG-20101230-00125.jpg

Fitted the jabba heat shield at the same time so everything lined up nicely

IMG-20101230-00126.jpg

And an overall bay shot to finish. Pretty easy job really!

So thats an increase of 5g/s ! Feels more responsive and can hear the spool up more now too :)

Battery was reset during the fitting, so should get better as the ECU adapts

All I need now is the full Miltek exhaust system including 3" down pipe plus a stage two remap :D
