It was fairly straight forward once started yer, exhaust etc was all of so was easy to get out

Hardest part was getting the cables back in the bracket on the gear box, the hole in the bulk head is pretty much the same place as yours, but it all works fine and is great :D

One thing im loving is i havent sealed the hole which the cables run through yet and im getting some serious turbo noise coming inside

Going to clean it up and paint gloss black and thats it!

Yeah I had to modify my bracket anyway to make room for the turbo so I didnt have that problem.. I forgot to mention you may need to do that!

Haha I sealed mine with silicon. Iv seen a vid on youtube where someone routed there airfilter into the car! crazy ass induction noise then!

A bung would be a good idea but i used a 38mm holesaw to make the hole so it would need to be that size which i havent seen before.

Yeah. I think the TT shifter adjusts the gate (makes the gears closer) and the B&M shortens the throw

Basically unbolt it from underneath, disconnect the cables from the gearbox and put it inside the car.

Drill 4 holes to bolt the shifter dow, then cut a hole in the bulk head to run the cables through and then re-attatch them

Got everything tidied up today

All the centre trims are back on including handbrake one too

Overall the hardest part of the whole job was removing all the melted rubber from the gear cables lol

Heres the last of the pics

Heres where the cables run
Also shows some melted rubber which was a pig to remove

I wanted to run the cables straight back so they were completely hidden but it struggled to select gears so i left them as they were

All trims modified and refitted

Heres the cabkes through the bulk head

Cables taped up neatly and the finished product :)

I will be painting the box black at the weekend so its a bit more subtle

Sorry if this looks abit thick but im puzzled..

What was the point in raising the shifter? surly you could cut out alot of work and get some form of stem riser?

Could you explain the benifit? Sorry :(

1) To route the cables through the car as they get melted by the downpipe
2) Because by simply extending the shift rod you are efectively lengthening the throw which is no good.
3) because it looks pretty awesome!
