Personally this car is too good to sell and had far too much TLC that another owner will not fully appreciate or see it's full value.

You would be mad to sell at this point in time, if someone is prepared to pay your asking price fair game, if not stick with it and enjoy :D

That's a good plan, cheers :)

Obviously you didn't read the earlier details of the protective paint that was applied to my hubs...

To be honest, all your posts read the same so i skip over them quickly as to not melt my brain with the "my car is so clean, and its the best in the whole wide world"

Hmmmm... Yours also have a repeating theme...if u find it so boring I wonder why you feel compelled to read & comment.

Like the old saying, if u don't have anything positive to say, best not to say anything at all...

hi there i was in the same dilema when i put my58 plate fd2 up for sale last year, my car was minted and was low mileage never been on a track which most of them have, but it took me almost a year to get it sold,i had it priced at 17k which other ones were getting sold for in england, but in the end i had to drop the price down which broke my heart cause deep down i knew that there was rough cars out there getting sold for a lot more.my location did not help my sale as i am about 40miles north of aberdeen, really it all depends how much you want the other car,to be pefectly honnest i would keep your car cause you are going to loose out and if your as fussy as you sound you will never find a 2nd hand car that will be suitable, thats why i had to buy a new car when i changed;)

Yeah, I think you make a good point there.

I will probably regret it, truth be told :(

To be fair, the thread title is "Whats it worth?".

How the car is looked after is irrelevant at the end of the day, blanket, a/c, protective coatings of x,y and z etc. Your car, like all of our cars has a value based around a simple trade book that will list the Make, Model and sometimes extras of a car, mileage and condition. Sure, yours may well be top book for a car of its age but you have priced it way above that.

Someone disagreeing with you about value and giving clear reasons as to why is a positive comment.

Bottom line is to you, its worth much more than it is to the trade and probably 99.99% of everyone else.

The shityourselfthin plan :)

If you bought it CATD and removed aircon, seats, carpets, door cards ( door cards are now a legal requirement for a road car btw - madness i know) soft top and motors, fitted a titanium exhaust and decat ... some light 16" track wheels .... maybe you'd shave 150 ... but then once you add a roll cage and beefcake in the drivers seat i reckon you'd be back up to the 1300 and more again.

Do I really need a rollcage? Does the s2k not have a roll over bar like the TT roadster?

hmmm its only worth what someone is willing to pay, a pampered car will appeal to an enthusiast but not make it worth anymore. Price it up on we buy anycar and a £1500 to it, I did my 07 cupra a few weeks ago and it came out at £8600 :(

Bloody hell you do look after it well. You might aswell keep it, but then on the other hand I think your efforts are wasted on whats just a leon and whats a weekend car to you.

Sell it, buy something special, a special weekend car and look after it like you have done the leon. Then 15 years from now this special car could start on the road of being a collectable. Im think a low production 2 seater type car. Perhaps a garage queen m3 csl, or a cayman spyder?

Yeah, I expect those guys make dealers look like saints!

They seem to rely on people being desperate to unload their car.

I wonder if a business like that thrives in recessionary times ?

Sound like a bunch of vultures!

Agree now sad as when they first started out they were really good. I got 1K more offered on a BMW 116i than the dealer and about £500 more on the wife's 307 that had the DMF on the way out!! Sold both to we buy any bra in the end would not touch them now though.

Something else everyone should be aware of:
Talking to one local dealer at weekend and he told us that in the July edition of Glass' guide ( car valuations ), they had made an 'adjustment' whereby all cars had devalued by an additional 1-2% in the July edition! He couldn't explain the reason for this, other than the trade being on it's backside!
