Really? I looked in the car menu when I got it but never found anything.
I believe that some settings once enabled in vcds, can then be enabled/disabled via the car setting display.

Mine is set so switch in off position = drl's only come on when handbrake is released.
Auto = drl's always on
Sidelights and main remain the same as before.

Ah yes, I did see that one on the list and considered it.
I want mine so they are on when driving but then have the option to turn them off via the switch/handbrake when stationary

TBH the best coding would be 0 =drl with rears, sidelights = drls off, & on. Reckon that might cause mot issues though.

Whay kind of VAG cable and which version of VCDS are you using?

Are you using the cracked version or the original version of the VCDS program?

What is the production date of your car?

I asked so many questions but I try to do conclusion.

For example my 140 FR is a 15 th of November production car. I did alarm chip but I could not do blinker cycle and rain closing.

Alarm chirp was there all the time, didnt realise I had to go into the MFD to enable it

Blinker adjust doesn't appear to be an option for me....no big deal

1. in blinker cycle you must do some mistake, because on all models this option can be accesible and changeable,
2. rain closing - not possible to change in VCDS 12.12.0, but in VPS (other kind of software and cable)

Sometimes you must set ignition off for 10 mins and then on, and of course restart the VCDS.

It's an electronic chirp not the horn. I will bugger about to see if I can get it swapped around to 2 for lock and 1 for unlock.

Sometimes you must set ignition off for 10 mins and then on, and of course restart the VCDS.

I cant recall offhand kopnyr but I'll revisit the thread with a more comprehensive report the next time I have VCDS hooked up

That makes sense, had to ask as its a bit arse for elbow

There's probably a way to altering both within the myriad of VCDS settings.

At last I changed the blinker cycle. After changing it 3 to 5, I turned the settings of only lights section to factory settings. Then everything is OK

Hi, I have got the VAG 12.12 cable and CD from ALiexpress. I have downloaded the CD to my laptop but when i plug the cable in it comes up with driver not found and unable to install. Any suggestions to what I'm doing wrong? I am using windows 7.

1) Uninstall the cracked software that come from aliexpress.
2) Download original software from rosstech. Version is not important.
3) Install original software.
4) Uninstall original software.
5) Install cracked software that comes from aliexpress.

So driver problem will be solved then.

Seems like a common issue with Windows 7 whereby the driver is not found after software installation, I had this issue too. You could try manually installing the driver by pointing the device to the installed VCDS folder.

Here is a link to a Ross Tech video to help with installation issues, go to around 7 mins and it talks about driver issues within Device Manager:

In the end to get around my issue, I just ran VCDS within a virtual XP machine
