Still out of order .. she really is a narcissist and none of them achieved in life in liebour and when price people out of a older car that’s works fine not very green that, I won’t mind I bet there’s not many around anyway so it’s not going to add to the coffers as they have given billions away like that climate aid in Africa..

A mate had a audi A4 with same engine as mine and just because it was a 1997 card the tax was huge, aluminium body also, zero rust
Yeah it's ridiculous. I can drive into the low emmisions zone without having to pay, yet road tax is way higher than cars that do have to pay. Makes zero fking sense as usual. All a bunch of shitbags whatever badge they are wearing at the time.

They certainly are...pompous, arrogant, deranged & all on the make.
It's like banging your head against a brick wall all the time & it infuriates me. We get less & less with every passing year, yet pay more & more for what?
Enjoyment should be a right, not a f ing privilege, but they are hell bent on squeezing the life out of everything good. My blood boils when I talk about this, it's wrong, unhealthy & the bulls8t they come out with is incredible. 🤬

Bath is a joke & to make it worse, BANES (council) have recently implemented (clean air' charges to a small town in the f ing countryside! They've never had a problem with pollution (tests confirmed that), but amazingly up popped the charges & now, as protested, the town is shutting down through lack of custom. Moronic, money grabbing *****

It makes it worse when they don’t listen and deflect and make the most childish excuses while industry is moving abroad or closing then they go on about getting people in jobs, your like wtf, dumbest people on the planet while being paid by the tax payer.. and maxing out there expenses

Have developed a bit of an annoyance. I'm getting a pop-clunk when setting off from a standstill. It feels like something is under tension and releases with a short metallic pop and you can feel a tiny bit of vibration.

Sometimes it's instant when you set off and sometimes it's 1 or 2 seconds later.

Had these changed 4 weeks ago at its MOT and it's been fine until now:

  • Offside Front Track rod end ball joint has excessive play (2.1.3 (b) (i))
  • Nearside Front Suspension arm pin or bush excessively worn (5.3.4 (a) (i))
Have had a nosy at the suspension with a torch and everything I can reach seems tight enough. Wheels are good and tight.

Anybody ever had anything similar?

Left the petrol station last week and got a massive clunk from the rear.

It's been fine every since!

Bizarre.

Hi friends.
I finally powered up my Cupra today, (probably last done before Xmas), & all started perfectly, even ran for about 30mins to fully warm up & no probs. After that I had a noticeable whine when accelerating (stationary & in neutral) & the whine would fade out after revs dropped.
I tried to record, but it hasn't come out well & I can't seem to attach it to this post either. I'll try again after.
From what I've read, it could be the alternator bearings, but it could also other unpleasant things. My car is laid up with shite braking system, but I can move it about for a short time.
If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate it.
I've seen you can remove the tension & test the the alternator by hand, but I'm lame & worry I won't get it tensioned correctly (is that just my stupidity? ) I'm annoyed whatever, because I've got a fcked braking system & could really do without another problem. I certainly can't fix it until I have funds put aside as my Ibiza is costing me £400 on Friday 😭 but if there is anything I can do, that would be good. Thanks.

same, dont think I'd done mine since October or November  nice and shiny now though, inside tomorrow if its decent weather. MOTin a week so try keep it bird **** free until then.

If the MOT is good to me I'm gonna stage 2 it in March, its got a generic flash stage 1 on it and its not taking into account all the mods I've done so time to get that sorted out.

The aux belt tensioner on my fr is not hard to release with a spanner then use a pin to hold it .. you can take belt off and run it for a second or two to see if you get same noise .. and that altinator pully is recommended tobe changed at 40k or more just depending as it says that in the ini site

Cheers for that 👍 Think that's something I definitely need to check out.
