My 2002 v5 170 has 103k on it and the suspension is, to say the least, no longer at its best. I need to retain the standard ride height due to a combination of towing, unmade tracks and speed humps. The car only gets used on the road so my question is can anyone recommend replacement road shocks...
stuck some cheap lowering springs on my car when i had an hour free at work, the front used to have a 10cm gap between top of tyre and wheel arch, now it sits nicely. however, the rear has hardly moved at all, still a big gap between the top of the tyre and the arch.
is there any way to make...
My 2.0 SX of 1998/9 has been lowered a lot by a previous owner but I'm not sure how much.
Could some one with a standard 2.0 SX measure from the very centre of their axle line up to the midday position and tell me the distance (preferably metric) to the very edge of the wing, both front and...
I have a question thats been bugging me for ages:
My Toledo V5 (10v X plate) seats are wonderful, soooooo comfortable and everything adjustable (well except the lumbar as i broke that :( )
HOWEVER
the best thing about them is the fact that the drivers seat is a good few inches lower...
Hi,
Does anybody knows the height difference between the 1,4 Ibiza's : how much lower is a Fr than a normal 1,4 85 Hp. I want to lower my Fr with the Seat sport springs but my dealer tells me that since the Fr is already lower than a normal car the lowering springs will hardly lower the car...
Hey all,
currently have an LCR and its pretty well documented in numerous threads about the low clearance it has and the trouble with speed humps, steep junctions and multi-story carparks. Thing is, I may have to end up changing my LCR to something more cost efficient (due to circumstances...
I've been looking about the Mk2 forum searching for folks scraping their cars and thought I'd start my own thread to get some more feedback.
Last night I was driving out of my gf's street with a full car (myself & 4 lassies :funk:) when I went slowly (5mph) over a speed cushion when CRUNCH...
Im having my car lowerd tomorrow and as i cant be there i just wounderd if anyone with AP coilovers could tell me how low they have wound the fronts down to get the wheels pretty level with the arch .I.E how much thread is left on the bottom. This way i can pre adjust them tonight so they will at...
Does anybody know if you can adjust the break and accelerator pedals so that they are more at the same height?
I was driving a new style Honda Civic (i dont like it!!) and i did notice that the pedals were much more about the same height which made heel-toe breaking/gear changes much better...
Hello all,
I have coilovers ready to install but i am slightly confused about how to adjust them to the correct height, there were no instructions with them and i have read loads of guides but no one mentions the adjusts, just the install.
Anyway, tha manufacturer says there are between a...
Not that I'm a big fan of lowered suspension but I have noticed that my dads 1.4 sportrider is considerably lower than my 1.8T FR, even though the 2 cars have the same wheels/tyres fitted.
Dads sportrider deffo looks to me like it is lowered, theres hardly any clearance between the arches and...
Hi,
I'm looking into the possibility of getting some coilovers (probably AP), and was wondering what height people are running theirs at? I want to get a nice balanced look between front and rear, but also need some clearance as the car is a daily driver.
Does anyone have a recommendation...
Had a search but couldn't really find the answer. Im going original and getting 16" Cupra wheels. Im also going to lower it on cupra shocks with lowering springs. Now I can either get 40 or 60mm.
Whats the best to go for?
Pics would be nice too :D
hi, i have a seat leon mk1. just wondering how do you adjust the main beam height level? i have tried using the dial in the car located on the right side of the steering wheel. i turned the dial as high as possible. but the main beam is still way too low and when i am driving on long straight...
anyone know what the standard ride height is on mk3 ibiza cupra? trying to work out how much mine is lowered
on standard wheels how much gap is there between the wheel and arch? or how far does the front bumper is off ther ground? cheers
searched with no success tho
Could some one please do me a favour and measure the distance between the bottom of
their side repeater and top of the R badge, replacing a couple that have been missin for a while and want to get the height right. :D
Ok, i know this is common and its happen to nearly everyone on here but here goes.
My clutch pedal box broke as they do, done loads of searching on here and saw the best/cheapest option was to re-weld the old pedal.
So i got the pedal re-welded while still 'ON' the car.
Once welded it was...
