when i went to santa pod there wad a 205bhp tdi golf wth 320lb ft torque!! now my mate brad will vouch for this i got off the line faster than him and beat him into 4th gear but the extra grunt of his car he reeled me in after the launch!! i run 15.2 up pod my first time there!!on a slippy day and hit 92mph on the line!!

Start selling your services to all the manufacturers that fit launch control to some of their sports cars then! Sorry my statement still stands and there is little point comparing a higher output car and driver to you as you have no idea what the car performs like revving up through the gears against a stopwatch.
Guiness book of records enrty then?

Who says that video is even remotely right...

I used to get wheelspin until 3,000rpm in 4th in the wet... looks like im doing a million miles a hour, when infact im doing 30mph and that must take around 6 seconds with spin!

Yeah, thats right :) Loads of noise, lots of spin, crack my speedo in about ten seconds yo (to quote :p) but guess what, im not really doing that speed... infact im being overtaken by a milkfloat Micra with 100lb/ft that can find grip :)

but videos wont mean anything. thousands are spent on timing gear for good reason. go somewhere that can time you accurately.

So your telling me you set off in 3rd gear in the wet? Of have I misread?

I tried a 2nd gear launch with the new helix clutch and SMF when I was EdButler in his VX220 and needless to say, he got away... very quickly.. not due to his car be 'that' much faster but due to me burning my clutch a tad!

I wont be doing 2nd gear launches nevermidn 3rd gear

All we can do is wait for your new video's (each one you post I send to Youv'e been Framed and get £250! as they are just that funny :D )

i could do a much quicker 0-60 if they`d let me do a rolling start:blink:

I have no doubt :) I think my quickest 0-60 will be down a very big hill

Here is a thought maybe the video is reversed! Standard 288mm brakes on a remapped Leon must slow it down from 60-0 in around 5.8 seconds!

Well if the Audi R8 V12 TDI with its 493BHP/737FT LB torque takes 4.2 seconds to get to 60 from standstill; I can't imagine that a remapped Leon/Bezza could do anywhere near a below 6 seconds to 60 ;)

You're right. Even with super power you can't always effectively put it down on the tarmac. In a stage 2 LCR I used to struggle to get under 7 seconds as the tyres wanted to light up. How many FWD hatches can reliably do sub 6 second 0-60's with serious mods!?!?

Agree'd having 300lb/ft at 2,000rpm doesnt help either! The LCR's run the same sort of torque (slightly higher up the rev range!) and ALOT more power than a diesel PD130/PD150, so imagine it was abit of a nightmare to get moving!

In that video you say your car hits 80 in 8 seconds? but on a drag strip it took you 15.2 seconds to hit 92? Now wheres the logic in that?

and who is 'them'!!

Like the 'others' off Lost mate :)

Needless to say one of 'them' 'others' quoted further down this thread saying MY car can do it in 4.5 seconds :)

Well even after some custom work down at Jabba (hoping sooner rather than later) it still aint going to hit 4.5 seconds!
