Im sure you'll be fine if the mapper knows what he's doing.
You got a build thread? 2.4 bar is the upper limit for 2260. But i wont be running more than 2.2 (should be enough to keep the smoke down)

have you had head work done?

Yes, and a cam. I haven't driven it much since is was done though. And I'm needing to get it on the rollers and see what it's doing.

I think I can officially say that the engine is complete and I won't be doing any more. But this is about the tenth time I've said that

did you get it put on the flow bench? not heard much about them, how good was their job?? you'll get the 3** mark too!! no doubt!!

The name of the company says it all really. The head is CNC machined, so each one is done the same. They develop their heads on a flow bench, and they also claim they have proven over 300bhp with it. They also have a the cam profiles to get one made/ground that works best with their head. I was waiting on Ryanp sorting something, but im so desperate to get my car back on the road, i may end up biting the bullet and going to CNCheads.
Where did you get your cam from Vroomtshh?

They did my cam too. I got them to build me a complete head ready to go. Seemed the most sensible way to do it. Although not cheap

Good to see there are now options for us deisel folk. Did they offer any reliability stats? One of the major concerns is chocolate cams being made...

How much did you pay altogether if you don't mind me asking? PM the price if you don't want to post on here.
All in was about £2300

I did speak to them at length about it, and while there are no real guarantees, I'm pretty confident that it'll last well enough. My standard cam did 150k and I've heard plenty of horror stories about them

It's clean but I'm not sure if it will be as clean as it was in those pics when i get back to the UK.
The plate was a total fluke!! I've been here for ages and need a car for many reasons, and so I came across this and spent most of my money on this!! Loving it!
