so either a cone filter, or a pipercross filter and a braether for the pipe which connects to the air box will create that sound?? am i correct????
and is there a carbonia induction kit 4 the ibiza cupra? as i no tghere is 4 the golf 1.8t?

gus

Any opencone filter will give you the sound mate. I have a dynatwist (closed induction) but have the heatshield off & the whoosh sounds great.

You will NEVER getr the sound of an RS Turbo, Scooby etc etc. But you can get a decent whoosh on an ibiza.

Gus, let it wear in, It will get a little louder but dont expect anything special.

Also remember that the sound comes from the front of tha car so u wont hear it as well inside the car as if you would standing on the street watching it go past.

Get a mate to test it in a carpark & listen to it from the outside! Or go in a tunnel

Have u changed the dump valve? Or have u still got the standard Bosch unit on there?

Failing that just defy science & buy a blow off valve instead

Gus, how long have u had the dump valve for mate?
If its new u wanna let it run in a bit. Mine was silent when I got it, no whoosh what so ever, Slowly over time its got louder & now that its run in properly it sounds pretty decent.

Like I say tho dont excpect it to ever sound like a RS Turbo, Starlet GT, rENAULT 5 or anything like that cos it wont.

Where are u based? If your near enough No Rice is on tonight, pop down there & see other SEATs & see what they have & how it sounds on other peoples cars.

Remember as well the dv will be louder outside of the car than it will inside of it.

both piston tho int they

Bailey has plastic piston, Forge 007P is aluminium. (and lifetime warrantied)

I had Bailey and it wore out fast. O-rings wore ruts in the ally top would you believe.

No difference to sound between em

Agreed my Bailey lasted a year then I threw it away (non-servicable) and that was £100 down the drain and I bought a Forge which was excellent. No sound difference between the two I tried

Bill did warn me but I didn;t listen

In fairness Syphon ran a Bailey DV for 2-3 years without any problem....sounds like Bailey is nearly as much of a lottery as the OE Bosch one

Is the car standard? It will come with a standard Black Plastic Bosch Dump Valve as standard! The one most people upgrade to is the Forge007P which you can get in Black or Polished Silver

Have a word with Bill Brockband at Badger5 and he will sort you out ;)

whats wrong with just simply drilling your standard air box? that should give you some sort of whoosh should it not?
