Very good of them really. Was looking at the kinetic ones, do look good, but think for just over 200quid i'll get the INA one.

You still in the honeymoon phase of your hybrid ownership? Come up against anything quick youve destroyed yet?

I`d have got a INA one if they where about at the time.. Bigger runners and no splitter is a bouns aswell as them being a site sponser, fingers crossed mine should be 'OK' now as its thought my previous one one cracked due to the car running lean on stg2.

Umm still loving the power at the minute, its QUICK! but i`ve toyed with the idea of selling up again for somthing more comfortable, IE a type R or a BMW 330 but to be honest i think il just put up with the ride as i can`t justify spending all that cash not including the Brembos to now sell up and get what? 6k maybe 6.5k?

Managed to keep in front of a tuned STI ver9 the other day, but to be honest i dont drive it all that much lol!

Should have some updates today aslong as i can find my camara lead.

:)

Ah dude be a shame if you sell after all the effort you put in! Uprade your suspension? I run bilstein pss9's which are fantastic even as low as I am. Expensive, but I get an expensive feel!

Well it’s been a while coming, but here’s my latest updates and pictures,

I’ve been wanting HID`s for a while but just haven’t got off my arse and ordered them so this week I decided to get a set while I was at it and the bumper was off id make the front end how id really like it so while the bumper was off, its a good time to get some mesh over the intercooler so it isn’t so in your face and some decent plate surrounds to accompany the pressed plates.

Started off the day with 'fitting' parts that had arrived in the week.

Start of the carnage, to my surprise nothing was seized and I got this fair in about 20minutes. Note this is the first time I had removed the front end by myself

DSCN0070.jpg

Once the headlights had been removed it uncoverd the 8 years of grime that had been collected

DSCN0071.jpg

After abit of scraping and some solvent cleaner, all clean

DSCN0075.jpg

Once the chassis legs where all cleaned up i was able to secure the brackets the the leg, I opted to secure both sides to the chassis legs to make for a much neater and out of sight install.

DSCN0076.jpg

Both sides installed.

DSCN0077.jpg

To my surprise they worked first time

DSCN0078.jpg

All put back together, now with the mesh fitted, no dramas along the way which is always a bonus

DSCN0090.jpg

I had blue vision bulbs installed prior to the HIDS and was shocked to see what a massive difference there was!

I got the plate surrounds from ebay, although they look great with the seat sport logo I wasn’t to happy about the fact that it had the 'R' logo as well, so I set about removing the R with some 600grit down to 1500grit and then polished the light scratches out with some autoglym SRP dressed with some megs trim detailer.

I wasn’t to sure how these where going to turn out but overall im very happy with outcome and you would never notice the difference.

It’s NOT an 'R' so why should it have the 'R' logo. lol.

Along with the change of the front end, I thought the S in matt black would look pretty good.. So here we have it along with the rear to match.

I did try to do the inserts in the S red which would have looked fantastic but my skills don’t take me that far unfortunately lol and it wasn’t up to my standards once I’d finished it so it ended up going back to matt black.

Sticking with the theme of matt black and red inside and out I decided to de-texture my new LCR splitter and spray this matt black also. Pictures to follow once dried and fitted.

De-textured.

The new Kinetic untracked manifold arrived last week so I got on with fitting that last weekend.

Bitch of a job to do but well worth the hassle

Cracked.

You may be able to see on the far collector hole there’s a small hairline crack which caused the manni to blow on idle which did seal on its own but kinetic still honoured me a freebie.

Uncracked and fitted!

DSCN0082.jpg

Brembos also turned up a couple of weeks ago, these too would have been fitted by myself but unfortunately the hard lines where seized solid so I had to give in and let the garage do it, look fantastic all the same don’t stop half bad either

DSCN0098.jpg

DSCN0083.jpg

The red on the rears didn’t match the Brembo red at all so I thought id be abit different and divert all the attention to the Brembos at the front by painting the rears black, looks pretty good IMO.

After I decided I was going hybrid I decided I wanted to change the bay around abit as chrome has been done to death so matt black and red it is aswell as removing as much as possible while im at it. This is still far from finished and is still much WIP the batteries going to the boot all blue pipe remaining will be removed and replaced with red along with a smaller catch tank and braided lines.

I’d like some ideas on what should be done with the rest of the chrome remaining what should stay or be sprayed matt black?

The bay hasn’t been cleaned and won’t be until complete!

DSCN0081.jpg

Header tank removed and replaced with an inline filler neck.

DSCN0080.jpg

Once the washer bottle and carbon canister had been removed it left the drivers side of the bay looking very untidy with all the loose wires laying around so I stole the idea of a wire tuck from Philw and 2hrs later and alot of cut knuckles it was done.

DSCN0074.jpg

Nice and tidy running the wires inside the arch.

DSCN0100.jpg

I’m giving the car a clean and wax tomorrow so ill have my pictures of the car itself with the new spoiler fitted.

So that concludes my update for now, all comments and ideas welcomed.

Looking really nice that is mate. The matching badges are a nice touch, did that on mine as it annoyed me having the rear one silver when the front wasn't
Look forward to the 'full' car pics mate :D

I must have been mad, i was up at 7.30 this morning and in the garage by 8!

Surprisingly i honestly only spent 1hr 30minutes on it today (might have somthing to do with the 6hrs i spent last weeend!)this included a jet wash rinise followed by a 2 bucket method wash with a lambs wool mit and megs gold class shampoo.

Once washed and jet washed off she was pulled back into the garage where she was dried with a sounus drying towel and treated to a coat victoria concours wax all plastics treated with megs trim detailer and the wheels a coat of HOT shine.

So the end results..

After the 6months i had of bad luck with it last year i had let the stndard slip abit if im honest but now im back in love with it now its pretty much back to the standards i expect!
