FR Flavoured,

The H&R's are generally regarded as being the better quality spring than the Prokit Eibachs.

I can't speak of personal experience on the H&R's because I have never had a set, just from people I know who had them rated them highly for handling and comfort.

I have had Eibach Prokit on my old 2007 Leon FR TDI and I loved them, not as 'jiggly' for want of a better word, as the Sportlines I have on my Cupra.

The reaon I went for Sportlines this time is that I wanted the car to be lower than my old FR, but if I was buying again I would go for the Prokit or the H&Rs because the ride on the Sportlines is very hard and my standard SEAT dampers are now done after only 29k!

Thankyou for your feedback Daveys,
Interesting to read about your experiences with the different Eibach Spring kits.

My dilemma is - if I am going to pay close to £300 on a Spring Kit, i want to receive the car back after the Kit has been fitted and look at the car, and see a noticable difference in the ride height of the car / how much more lower it sits... !?

If the Pro kit only drops it marginally more than standard, and not really a noticable difference, then I will be very disappointed in paying out that amount of money for a fraction of a drop in ride height - and I'd have preferred to have spent that money on something else! :)

FR Flavoured,

Yeah I know what you mean mate, PM White Lady 170 on here if the spring kit is costing you £300, he has a VMAXX coilover set up on his FR TDI and it didn't cost much more than that. He is very pleased with them. Maybe another option for you mate.

I've just fitted a genuine set of CH's to mine - they are incredibly light :)

I've just bought a set of genuine BBS CH's from Volkswagen Racing that had been fitted to one of their cars.

They are gloss black at the moment but need a refurb so will start the ball rolling on that next week. Probably gonna get them done in Anthracite or similar
