There is a god apparantly :D

The issue was a blocked oil pick up pipe and as the engine was only run for about thirty seconds when the oil light come on there is no further damage or issues. Its running sweet and seems quicker...but thats inevitable when you've been driving a Hiluf Surf for a week and a half!

Nice one Becks, nothing like the trauma of your car feeling down on power / running out of sorts. Glad it was an easy / cheap fix for you

Thanks guys. the pick up pipe was put in a high pressure cleaner at my dad's work and came back sparkly clean. I'm being careful with the car, listening for any differences etc but all seems well.

Those of you who are my friends on facebook know this story but here goes anyways....

Can was "fixed" on Tuesday morning and the plan was for my dad and I to take it a spin on the Tuesday evening. We jumped in the car, me driving and my dad co pilot, seatbelts on and then try to start the car and there is no response. Clearly a flat battery.

So...at that point I threaten my dads life for pulling at the door handle, typical of most passengers as a result of the anti hijack door locking feature only to realise that I can;t open the door either. Press the button above the window controls, it sounds like it unlocks..still can't get out. Apparantly there was not even enough power for the car to unlock itself and we were deadlocked inside with the windows up. From there after we stopped laughing and a couple of phone calls for rescue and a facebook status update...as ye do...my dad asks me which window I like least!

We finally escaped when after sitting long enough there was enough power for the window on my side to come down. We then proceeded to "daisy duke" it out the window with my dad having to clamber across the seats and out the window.

HAHAHA :D

Must be something in the air... I had to kick down a door at work yesterday because two members of staff decided to try the lock (from inside the room) and snapped the key off and got stuck, lucky I was passing by as I was the last one out (well the last one who would of been able to kick it down!).

Just shows the gym is worth it..haha

I only wish someones had filmed your Daisy Duke impression... would be a superb YOUTUBE hit!
