yeah 300-340bhp "should" be ok on standard internals.
You need exhaust,injectors,turbo/kit(turbo,manifold,downpipe,lines).Probably £2500 hardware.£500 mapping,£600fitting.Abou £3600 in total.Ask Bill he could probably put a ihi deal together for you.

Bill can put me a kit together?

Awesome do the APR Stage 3+ kit forn the S3 and produces 390-400bhp as per their TT conversion.

I run this kit on the Golf except I use the slightly different turbo the Garrett GT28RS and the spool is good not far from stock. The kit gives me 350bhp and 350lbs the quality is good but it comes at a price...£4500 plus vat plus fitting.

Hey guys im back

over xmas and new years i have been doing some research sent loads of emails and made loads of calls
spoke to jbs,
jabba,
Bill,
Awesome,
Backdraft,
Qedpower.com
Pagparts.com!

so the result is that JBS dont like to reply calls and emails

Jabba are good bout only seem to like ihi setups

Awesome only do the one kit APR stage 3 and is a lot of money £5462.50 inc vat

Backdraft nice to talk to but only do the 3 top mount kits and have herd a bit of bad press!

Bill Badger 5 is far the nicest to talk to gives honest advice and knows his stuff great guy!

Qed power told me to speak to Pagparts dot com and they seem good and sell some good kits

so Arnold from Pagparts sent me a list of a kit

manifold T25
GT2871R .64ar w/ modified actuator bracket and 2" 90 elbow
oil feed line kit
oil return line kit
banjo restrictor set
coolant line kit
oil pan adapter kit
oil return flange kit
3" SS DP w/ cast vband adapter for haldex
3" Inlet piping set
ss mounting stud kit
630cc injector set flowed/balanced
inline fuel pump kit 255lph

injectors are 630cc true siemens deka or Bosh 550cc w/ harness

so guys wat do you think?

comparison of a IHI VF34 compared to a backdraft kit GT2871R with a .63 housing.
red line is our IHI turbo kit. The blue line is the backdraft kit
The first line that comes up is the torque that then crosses over with the horsepower as that comes up.

Sent to me for jabba sport but it dosent look right to me?

JBS sent me 4 grarphs

Gt2871 has alot more in it while the ihi is maxed out.

IHI pushing that graphed bhp level is going to be 1.6bar at least.. hard for a vf34

GT2871R for that same level is more airflow... and will be more power.

If I plotted a GT35R on 0.3bar boost and a k03s on 1.4bar boost which one will make the higher power, and what would those plots look like?

(extreme example, just making the point, more info req'd on the plots to see whats going on or make judgement)

As you have been told a gt2871r is a decent turbo , bill can do a competitive price. You can lead them to water but you can't make them drink!

The jabba IHI plot looks very maxed out I was told them turbos can only make 330bhp
the gt2871r looks like it could do more not a very good advert for backdraft
sorry guys dont know why every one has got it in for them lol

how is it not a good advert for BDMS.....

as Bill said, need more info i.e. boost levels etc as it could be running a conservative map

because that is what jabba sent me to show there IHI kit vs BDMS GT2871r kit

your rite there is no info on it they must of just cut it off lol

so an unbias source of information then if Jabba sent it to you for comparing their map against BDMS's one then?

i think jabba had a car in with a backdraft kit on but they mapped it hence why they have the 2 graphs to compare:)

its a comparison between an Jabba IHI and a BD kit done on Jabba rollers.
is it like for like boost wise?
it will likely be different mapping, or is it?

just a few too many knowns to make judgement based on the graphs.
indicative i guess, but ipsofacto?
