Because the weave was skewiff and it frayed at one of the edges when sanding it back.
The resin was giving me a splitting headache too, needed more ventilation but its too cold too keep a door open
I have something in the pipeline though :)

You will have too take me for a spin in yours, I know Joe still has wet dreams about it

Yeh that's cool, mine's coming out of hibernation in March for some more loving so not long now. Likewise, very interested to see what the 2868 goes like once it's all done as I think this is the way I'm heading with mine when funds allow

Sounds like a plan, although I doubt mine will be done by March!
I have June in my head, but I am getting a full wideband ECU & loom conversion developed at the moment which is going to be the depending factor on the finish date as I want too get the loom replaced and hidden before the engine goes back in.

Have you ever heard of Aqua blasting? UK company that vapour blasts aluminum casings to come back like brand new!

Is it basically steam cleaning?
I sprayed it with brake and clutch cleaner too remove all the oil residue internally then scrubbed it & ran it through the dishwasher/parts cleaner a few times
