Few bits that came today.. Inlet manifold inserts.. short non A/C belt and my new injector seal o-rings at bloody £2.20 EACH!

Anyone got any tips on getting the old inserts out as they are well and truly jammed :( ????

have you got the part number for the short belt as i want to get rid of my air con.

the injector seats are srewed in mate, you need a 20mm hex of some sort to fit tight and they should unscrew, they can be brittle and might snap so be careful if your doing it on the car.

Yes I knew they screwed in/out just needed to work out what to used as i dint have a 20mm allen key... this is my cutting edge solution. :)

Had all the air con off today heres a few pics..

Gave everything a clean and a lick of paint and fitted the shorter belt.. Also with all the front of the car off seemed like a good time to change the oil filter I had lieing about..

Dusted the rad with a bit of satin black

Another update and a few pics :D

Got it all back together in a bit of a rush because I need to use it tomorrow.. still have a few things to sort out but here goes.

Weight bolted to the subframe removed.. every kg helps ;)

Very happy after all that she started pretty much 1st time :D

Still need to..

. Fit catch tank ( venting down the wing at the moment)
. Sort out filter heat sheild
. Battery cover
. Tidy up all the rushed bits and bobs.
. Get front and rear strut braces powder coated gunmetal grey I thinks
. New heatsheild behind the turbo
Anyway more to come soon :)

god fair play james really has come on top work mate im doing much the same as you air con removing this weeked i hope looks like a right workup.
wish i was able to do all this to mine i need some tips on relocation battery big time as im crap with electric

thanks mate! yeah took a fair few hours to do all that.. Id do one thing and be like ..ahh now iv done this I might as well do this and it got a bit mad haha, well worth it though.. yeah im not too clever with the electric side of things.. let the old man do all that ;)

Yeh just cable tied down (temporarily) at the moment.. also cut the end off that connects to the positive terminal of the battery.. and wired up the power to the 1st terminal, ill take some pics tomorrow it will make things clearer

just to start you off the cable size you will need is 25mm^2 which is about 10mm in diameter.. and obviously a battery tray and a few terminals.. and you can either use a splitter to split the power between the starter motor and the distributor panel/ fuse board.. OR run a separate cable from the rear to the fuse board (this is what I did) and I just used audio amp power cable for the from halfrauds.
