The seat base and runners are part of the seats. To fit aftermarket seat you need baseframes.

Oh, I had a look at them, and could have sworn the seats were bolted onto the frame. Luckily we have you watching over us, Techie!

How'd you hear about them, anyway? In the MkV section?

Saw Paul was changing his interior and thought it had to be worth an ask. Don't think he ever advertised them as such.

I've been planning on doing this for a while now. The interior looks pretty bland wrapped completely in black plastic, so I thought I'd liven it up by painting the centre console silver.
This is my story.
I began with removing the Alana stereo - a trip down to Halfords resulted in the kind soul working there using his radio removal key to remove the headunit from the console. Next up was the little flap under the aircon controls, and then the cubby hole neatly slid out. Out came the torx screws, and the console cover popped out.

Next I removed the hazard light and cupholder from the console cover, as they are screwed onto it.

Here it is, primed and ready to be painted in gorgeous Ford Moondust Silver from Halfords.

And here it is, in the current stage. I've left it until tomorrow when I get proper daylight for the final sand down and last few layers of paint, and I'll lacquer it after that.

Looks good, think I might do this myself, although persoanlly I think I would go for a dark shade of silver - nothing woring with your colour choice - just think I'd have it a wee bit darker.
Total cost? Under £20?

that does look good, you do have an eye for what i can only describe as interior design, given me the prod to do it with my new fascia when it turns up, i'll end up colour coding it with the silver flash on the dashboard.

you thought about getting the facelifted steering wheel and painting the cubby hole?? would really finish off the interior look nicely
