Both seats - replace with a lightweight fixed bucket.
Roof
Doorpanels
dashboard?
Laxatives for the driver? :)

The shityourselfthin plan :)

If you bought it CATD and removed aircon, seats, carpets, door cards ( door cards are now a legal requirement for a road car btw - madness i know) soft top and motors, fitted a titanium exhaust and decat ... some light 16" track wheels .... maybe you'd shave 150 ... but then once you add a roll cage and beefcake in the drivers seat i reckon you'd be back up to the 1300 and more again.

For the nay - sayers and critics, perhaps you can answer me this ?

How many Arnold Clark rusty Saturday specials have spent 98% of their life like this :

i have to say i feel your dilema

im a bit like you i try to keep my car as pristine as possible , well without the night blanket that is ;)

but at the end of the day cars are meant to be driven , even though i know you will want top ££££££'s for your car its only worth as much as someone is willing to pay.

you could put it up for 15k and wait to see if someone buys it but i would think you would be waiting a long time.

i know we get attached and emotional about our cars , i have shed many a tear over mine but not because i love it more because its a pile of absolute crap ! [:@]

may be if it was me i would keep it and cherish it a bit more , theres loads of life left in it yet , may be turn it into a top show car?

where did you get your car cover from? looks much better than mine.

Hi Mate, - I just knew you would be the one to ask me this... my Mrs bought it for me a while ago, , I need to find the instructions / promo leaflet.

I will try to find it tonight for you.

It's a serious cover with like a soft fleecy underside, & judging by how much stick the wife gave about it I am guessing it was very pricey.

Will come back to you later...:)

Hi mate,
Your fortitude with your troublesome car is to be admired, - such loyalty!
I too had serious troubles with my 2006 TFSi Sport (16 dealer visits to cure misfire caused by bad wiring loom, so I know how it feels when they let you down) maybe that is why am so anal with this one...fear of the Darkside!

Anyway on a more serious note, I think you may be right about hanging on to it, - nothing I can buy of a similar age below £20k will get near it for looks or performance.

Wife may also beat me if I sell...:(

It may look like that but hasn't this car done a track day?

Yes, a novice track day at Oulton Park, on it's original Pirelli tyres.

Followed recommended cooling procedures (1 warm up lap, 1 quick lap, 2 cooling down laps).

Also was a very wet day so only did about 12 laps when it dried up at the end.

What of it?

:D...Also, - everytime I take the Cupra out for a drive in warm weather , it gets 10-15 mins of post switch-off cooling from this massive industrial fan to cool radiator & intercooler and to prevent heat-soak on turbo...

Personally this car is too good to sell and had far too much TLC that another owner will not fully appreciate or see it's full value.

You would be mad to sell at this point in time, if someone is prepared to pay your asking price fair game, if not stick with it and enjoy :D

I rest my case.

No one cares, its just a leon at the endof the day. Not a bloody classic or rare car.

As for rusty specials, leave your car outside in this climate for a week and the hubs / disks will easily show a bit of rust.

Anyway, good luck with the sale. You'll need it :cartman:
