So today I decided it was time to sort out the paint which had virtually no protection on at all. It was rough, dull and covered in swirls.
My mate Dale came round and we cracked on with correcting the paint finish.
The car had already been snow foamed and wash the day before so we wacked it in the garage and began to clay it all over
The bonnet was pretty bad
But the roof was totally shocking! It got so much off, paint felt much much smoother after.
Two stage polish, first was megs scratch x, second was merenza power finish.
Attempted to show the difference but it was so hard to capture. Left side has been treated, right is un-touched. Many more scratches on the right
Dale working hard. Really slacked on the progress pictures after this. But we finished up by applying sealant then wax and treating the windows, tyres, engine bay etc.
Much deeper shine to the paint now, and lots of the scratches and swirls have been removed.
The finished article!
Nice and glossy finish.
More reflective shots.
