I have only ever had the brace fitted to the car so not sure what its like without it. Didnt get a chance to test it during the day it was being painted

I ordered 4x VREDESTEIN ULTRAC SESSANTA - 225/40R18 tyres from Camskill for an excellent price. Fantastic service from the boys @ Camskill, super quick delivery too. Had them fitted by a local garage who lost two valve caps and didn't pump all the tyres up properly, all around 20psi. Wont be using them again!

Only thing that bugs me is the tread pattern is reversed on the other side, so the V's go down instead of up. I asked the guys there if this was right and they showed me on the tyres it says "inside edge" on one side so thats the only way they can go. Any one else with Vred's notice this?
Next up was a full service @ AMD and rolling road.

It made just a shade under 250bhp and 254 lb/ft torque. AMD boys said the 007p is on the wrong way and closed air filter is rubbish, coupled with a very hot day resulted in the low results. Pretty disappointing really.
Unfortunately during the service they found quite a few bits wrong with the car too......
Not good at all. They carried out the service and had to helicoil the sump because of the spinning nut. They said it wasnt leaking when it left there but since has started to leak so might need a new sump too.
The plan is to replace all bad parts with uprated parts and my shopping list is as follows:
All is going to be fitted by a garage named VAG Tune (more local to me than AMD) in Aylesbury in two weeks time. Total cost including a days fitting and all parts is £1500
A lot of wedge but with this and the new tyres it should handle like its on rails when its done Can't actually wait to feel the difference now!!!

Its a lot thinker and heavier than I imagined it to be, real quality bit of kit.
Weitecs should turn up this week and VAG Tune have ordered / sourced all the other parts.
Future plans are sort a better induction system, thinking of big Jetex cone with 80mm air feed from fog light, hughes engineering rear upper brace, Forge FMIC, HID's with fly eye headlight kit, gauges in nomad pod (already got the pod just need gauges lol) & a trip to the VAG Opel show in Beligum in September.

- Rear spring end broken
- Suspension top mounts badly worn causing clunking
- Cam cover gasket leaking
- Front polybush starting to split
- Sump nut spinning

Yes, they look a bit funny I know. It's perfectly normal
I imagine you will forgive their looks once you give them a thrashing in the wet Suspension updates look bang on, you should notice a HUGE difference, especially once you get the Weitecs on. I had the 28mm Neuspeed ARB and it made a HUGE difference, although like you mentioned I imagine the car was way slower in a straight line due to it weighing more than my missus

Decided to do a bit of work on the car today.....
Started off with the 007p. When I had it rolling roaded, AMD told me the valve was on the wrong way round and could be loosing me high end boost and up to 5bhp. Therefore I decided I should turn it around!

Could anyone confirm this is correct now? Notice I have the forge cold side relocation kit fitted.
Next up, I decided a blanket for my engine probably wasn't a good idea and if I removed it that it would help reduce heat soak and keep the engine a bit cooler.

I loved the way the dirt on the wheels made them look kinda anthracite colour, a mod for next year
Finally it was finished off with another rinse, a good wash, another rinse then dried off. Next up it was lime primed and finished with dodo juice purple haze and a load of buffing!!!
Resulted in a lovely shine! (The speck's are where it had just started to rain. ****!)

I was spending a load on the other repairs so thought I might as well splash out on the Neuspeed one too. Only read good reviews about it

I was told recently by AMD that alot of the bushes on my car are starting to go. So I'm going for the full superpro polybush kit down there in next couple of weeks. I won't need the dogbone mount though, already had that done, so going to speak to them to check that part(and labour time for dogbone change) is removed from the total price.
I had AP coilovers fitted at AMD and I'm going for the same ARB setup as you. While off yet though

Am sure it's great, probably is better in some way than the Whiteline one but I'm a tight-arse Scot and am also saving for a house so can't really justify going the extra £100
Meant to say about your 007p, that does look like what Forge would describe as "reverse orientation". I've been running mine like that for a while now, a few folks on here do the same. No real issues reported but particularly this way round you might find you need to swap the spring for a yellow one if you're remapped and running higher than standard boost, reason being that this way round the boost is acting against the bottom of the piston rather than the side so the green spring may not hold the valve fully closed when it's meant to be.
That said it looks like you're running a cold-side relocation kit? Maybe that's not an issue then if that's the case, might be better posting the question in the mk1 Leon section.
