I duno TBH im going out tonight with aaron and we are going to do a few tests etc to make sure it is fixed.. TotalVAG said they found some stuff to try it out, TBH im did ask and i dont know if i want to ask, cause if its somin that means i didnt really need a new EGT i would not be a happy bunny
Now sure about AMD now, Its a long drive, i might just w8 to see what it pulls at the RR day
Also ill have a rought idea when i give aaron a drag race late On my dads private estate of course.
New disc's went on today with Ferodo DS2500 pads, These feel 100 times better than they were before and they've not been bedded in yet.
Next up full service and brake fluid change all beeing done by AmD next month.
I got the standerd one from Seat at a very good price, and I'v been told they are Brembo's, I did'nt get them grooved in the end cos I'd heard such good things about the pads I did'nt think it would be worth it.
Do you think it's worth replaceing the brake fluid with dot 4 or 5.1 ???
Speak to Bill about it as I remember his saying something about there being no difference from dot4 to 5.1. He can tell you the right fluid to get mate.
Yup its worth going for a higher boiling point brakes fluid. Bill sells RBF 600 with is DOT 5.1 (I think) at about £35 for enough fluid to change out the whole system (1.5 ltrs)
If I were to go for 1 piece discs again I would have gone for the Brembos (perhaps with grooves)
Will you manage to help me with http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=202447&highlight=brake+test when you have them bedded in?
Cant beet good brakes.. Saved me a few times.. I think i neeed to get me fluid changed tho, dont think its been done since new.. Brakes are still amazing so never felt the need!
