Are these bars hard to fit

There not too bad to fit, The brackets mount onto hole that are already formed into the shell of the car, the only bit of cutting you have to do is to the plastic trim so it fit's around the top of the bar

DK when you polished up the mani did u remove it?? Can you get decent results from just leaving it in the bay

I dont take them off to polish them, the only problem is you cant do the inlet pipes,
Start with an orbitial or belt sander to get it smooth then go through the wet and dry stages, it will take a while to get a good shine on it though

Daz, do you mask off or cover the surrounding components and then hoover up after each stage ?

Think we need to do mine before Inters

You dont really need to mask much up mate, just cover over the alternator, the surface is quite pouros so the water doesnt go too far.
I wont get time before Inters mate

Picked my new Mk2 LCR badges today

TBH I did'nt realise the insert's were grey, if I had I might not have got them but as luck would have it they are almost the same colour as my stickers and they go quite well with the rest of the car.
Hopefully due to the way they are painted the lacquire wont peel on these one's Old and new.

Also rewraped the boot handle.
