Do I need an Aerial Signal Booster?

Having fitted a new head unit last weekend the reception on the radio seems to have gone down hill and is now hit and miss.....Just wanting to know is this a common issue and do i need to fit an inline booster to improve the signal quality ???????

i have a kenwood headunit, reception was brillient on standard headunit, on this one its apsolutely pants. also interested to hear a fix...

mines the same aint a clue why tho maybe the standard one has a booster (btw i have mk4 ibiza fr)

Standard headunit has an integrated aeriel amplifier, so you are correct, you need an amplifier for your headunit or the sound quality will be useless.

sorted mine out and bought a signal booster for £18 the radio stations are alot better now

where can u get them from and is it worth getting a dab one??

all good car audio shops should sell them just make sure it has got a 12v supply cable what is attached to it as it is this what boosts the signal...
